Definitely a vote for Mark White from me. A superb left back, hard working and genuinely talented.
Richie Bowman - a real Jack Russell of a player who gave his all every single match.
Jerry Williams - an awful centre forward who ended up an excellent right bank - one of the stranger turnarounds in a Reading player's fortune.
Mike Kearney - he had his critics but I always thought he was a good target man. Kind of like a poor man's Kenny Dalglish (although in terms of quality that's obviously a ridiculous comparison).

Croydon Royal Another vote for De La Cruz here.

Would also add:
Andy Griffin - Maybe not completely unsung and I know he had a mare in the play off final, but the way he helped change the team's attitude and approach after a terrible first half of 2009/10 cannot be underestimated.
Chris Makin - The unsung hero of our record-breaking year.
John Oster - got a fair bit of stick, but another who in hindsight did a good job for us in our best ever year.

All of these..

And for the hattrick post.

Two players:

1. James Harper - got a lot of stick for being a ball carrier and not doing a lot. But his sheer speed, determination and non-stop energy saved us on many occasions when we got hit on the counter attack

2. Jem Karacan - I love Jem. Almost as much as Bryn. But he's similar to Harps in that his energy and drive in the midfield have saved us a lot. Tackles a bit more than Harps used to, so maybe not quite so unsung in that respect. But I would definitely put both of these guys into the underappreciated bracket.

Michael Meaker
Martyn "Tooti Fruity" Booty
Steve "Boom Boom Boom" Swales
Carl Asaba
James Harper
Andy Hughes

I'm going to be on my own with those aren't I!

Keith McPerson and Jeff Hopkins. Mick Gooding compared to the rest of the McGhee era midfield?

Definitely sign up to Watson, Whitehead, Newman, Armstrong, De La Cruz, Makin and McIntyre after his switch away from stROFLiker.

Alan Lewis, Lindon Jones Andy Rogers David Crown. Steve Francis deserves a mention. A much better kepper than people give him credit for.

I wouldn't have said De La Cruz or Armstrong were unsung. Armstrong (deservedly) won POTS in his only full season with us. De La Cruz was appreciated, particularly after that goal.

I'm not sure if Glen Little is a joke nomination, he's one of our most praised ex-players.

I'd suggest Zurab- far superior to Mills. Once upon a time Harper and Ingimarsson would have been nailed on, but they get mentioned as under-appreciated so much that they get the credit they deserve. Could also mention a few like Joe Mills, Chris Makin, John Halls and Matthew Connolly who didn't play much but were fairly impressive when they did.

So essentially we don't appreciate full backs.
