Decent effort, well done. Given time to develop your writing style and brush up on the attention to detail and, at the very least, you'll have a good blog. I should imagine sports journalism is cut throat, so stick at it, despite any knock backs you may suffer along the way.

My m8 Benji writes for the Guardian (tech mainly) and has had articles published in the NY times etc
