have always rated HRK, imo he should be given the number 7 shirt to see what he can do with it. id love to see him in a 4-5-1 as the lone striker. his goals rate is pretty decent as a winger who rarely starts and mostly is a sub.

He's still quite raw at the moment but he has all the attributes to be a player, definitely.

People labelling him inconsistent need to remember that he's never really been given the chance to build any momentum; coming in and out of the side, starting, coming on from the bench, playing on different flanks etc. If given a run in the side I think he'd eventually shine and I've been really impressed with him on occassions this season.

Loved his ping to Bale last night too. It was typical of Bale though; he grabs all the headlines scoring peaches but can't put away the easy chances.

If I was a Prem manager outside the top 5/6 I would try and buy Robson-Kanu. His physicality alone makes him pretty unique as a winger.

Whereas previously we've looked to Kebe for that one moment of inspiration, HRK has scored goals when we've been outplayed this season e.g. Tottenham home and Everton away (only consolations but still). He also nearly scored a blinder at Man Utd away, when no one else offered anything in attack.

Yes his finishing is inconsistent but what I find strange is he manages to get around 5 chances per match; but without him, the team as a whole barely gets 5 chances in a usual match.

HRK in last few games has been our biggest attacking threat by a mile. He has to play!

Also, what do people reckon the odds of HRK being our top goal scorer throughout the remaining 8 games are?

No one's mentioned his crossing, which is a bit shite IMO. He often looks good as he beats a man on the halfway line though.

I have to say I see it the other way round. I think he has an awesome left peg, capable of putting balls in with real pace and dip, but when it comes to beating a defender 1-on-1 he lacks the imagination to find a way round. Obita seems to have the same issue.

He gave Evra a torrid time in the Madejski fixture but was deployed on the wrong flank so couldn't deliver with his weaker foot. I guess you could say it was decent defending by Evra for showing him down the outside but in truth Robson-Kanu had him in knots for the majority of the first half; likewise McAnuff and Refael.

Hmmm - not sure. If his shooting had been just the tiniest bit more accurate over our last 2 games, we'd have 4 more points and BMcD would still be in a job!

Yeah, I agree to some extent with that. Thought his role for Wales seemed to allow him to come inside a lot more, and that may well be a better way to play him next year

Just caught the end of it, pretty standard. Sounds like a nice guy and he's fully committed to the last 8 games obviously.

yeh defo one of the most improved players - but I think that's because hes getting more games now - certainly one of our best passers with good control - yeh against Scotland he was superb, though to be fair Scotland were s**t

Just hope he can continue on. Played very well against Croatia too who, unlike Scotland, can actually play football.

Fully expect HRK to start most games under Adkins. Been very impressed with what I've seen from him. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if a PL club takes a punt on him in the summer.

Play him on the right of a midfield 5. He can cut in to make two up top when we have the ball.

RockheadRumple I'd like to see him play as a striker, not even just behind. Has all the attributes.

Some crazy overrating in here. This is always the way, we underrate a player, realise we've underrated him, then proceed to overrate him to compensate, then maybe swing the other way (Karacan and Cummings are experiencing this third stage right now). HRK is a very good player but he isn't a Premier League quality player quite yet.

RockheadRumple I'd like to see him play as a striker, not even just behind. Has all the attributes.

I think it main problem when he plays centrally is how he plays there. Essentially he plays like a "central winger", trying to get past players with the ball using his pace and power. This doesn't work very well.

If he could change his mentality so he was trying to get in behind then he'd do better. Would rather he played as an out and out striker than behind the striker, but I still think he's better as a winger where there are fewer defenders.

His cross from the left to Kebe against Watford last year was one of the best I have seen. Admittedly - I am not as well traveled as a lot of people on the board, but it was still a fucking peach.
