Maguire
Tokyo Sex Whale The way the players were throwing everything at the QPR goal in the last 15 minutes told me that we would be relegated if we didn't score.

You see this is the thing - if i'd known we were going down without a win then i'd have been really farked off the two teams weren't going kamikaze in the last 15.

There was a bit of pressure but generally both sides went out with a whimper.

^^^ I only realised on the way to the ground as they said it on BBCRB. As such was pretty peeved about how flat the game was. I get the impression neither side wanted to get relegated by the other, and ended up both meekly getting relegated together.

And tbf it would have been rubbish to get relegated by them and see them 'survive' for a few more days

I must admit I am embarrassed after mugging southampton to the titile last year and west ham with that dinosuar of a tacktition at the helm that we are the one out of the 3 to get flushed down the shoot/

I know we were outclassed and outplayed for most of the season all we came up against , we were even crap against basement hoops .

I can see us sliding all the way at this rate and all the plastic fans we have dissapearing again :(

Maguire Having not bothered looking at the table for many weeks, I confess I didn't realise we were relegated until it flashed up during the Arsenal v Man Utd game coverage.

Even better, one of the ST holders I go with didn't realise until we told him at about 10pm last night.

Anybody out there still not realised? Must be one of the most low-key relegations ever. I didn't even know we had to win the game.

Pepe the Horseman I was arguing with the TV that we could stay up on goal difference until I figured it out

Schards#2 Bizzare conversation from the 'tards behind me yesterday

Tard 1 - what happens if it's a draw?
Tard 2 - both team will go down because Villa and Wigan still have to play each other
Tard 1 - Hmmm.....QPR have some good players, I'd be happy with a draw today to be honest

No… please stop… I've got a pain :D

No Hoops I didn't know until got back to the car and heard it on the radio

semtex1871 John Madejski didn't realise.....in his after match speech he said that Reading were as good as down but that they would carry on fighting until it was mathematically over.....just as Sky Sports were showing the table with both relegated!

His reaction when he realised was comical.....quickly wrapping up and racing out of the room.....

Oh oxf*rd me… :D

Thank you so much for this thread. Now I've got to change my pants. I've pissed myself :D

I dare say in years to come, the poster known as Baker's Dozen will be regaling Knees Up Mother Brown with tales of the day he took the Hobnob Team Board.

As I said on the Boycott West Ham thread they didn't even have a hand in us being relegated because we beat them and will already have been down by the time we play them again. Personally, if a club was relegated and we'd lost to them I wouldn't be crowing about the relegation.

Since a draw was no use to either team, I'm surprised we didn't agree in advance to play without goalkeepers.

To be fair it still would have been 0-0

4-1 Villa now - wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Do we get extra points for beating Man City then?
