St. Brynjar Gorkss looked okay to be honest. Not convinced Obita has what it takes just yet, I think McAnuff should come back into the side or revert to 4-4-2 with Alf/Sharp playing.

and drop Pog?

windermere_royal why did Gunter jump out of the way of the free kick? was the ball too muddy and didn`t want to get his shirt dirty?

Gunter is awful, if we had one person who could actually put in a decent whipped ball every so often we would be doing pretty well

Fair result in the end, like to see 2 up top though

Wow some very negative write ups on here!

To say QPR were hard done by is an odd one. We were hard done by today & if we hadn't had such a blatantly biased ref we could have got all 3 points. Good performance & Pog was an absolute beast.

Kelly & Baird didn't impress me much today - we need a LB pronto.

Thought the ref's treatment of Pog all match was terrible - the glee with which he sprinted to him to give him a card FFS!! Had been dying to find an excuse all game. Pog was fouled countless times & got completely poleaxed about 5 mins after his yellow & nothing given.

The ref was a total cnut today. I'm actually quite angry - we should have won.

McCarthy made some good saves at the start but we really gave them a torrid time after that.

Was it a pen for Obita in the 1st half? I didn't see it.

Barton cleaned Pog out just after his yellow, and nothing from the ref.

Would have taken 1-1 at beginning if game after last weeks result and still unbeaten at home.
Think the ref evened it up after not giving qpr a penalty, thought he was fair not giving obita's!
Defiently need someone that can play left-back as sounds like bridge is out for a month or 2 after op so get someone in on loan as Kelly doesn't look comfortable.

Also what other players have manged to clear the ball out of madjeski stadium?
Think sonko done it?

Going forward he has been ok but defensively he's a disaster waiting to happen.

our promotion season a player of the other team kicked it out of the stadium, i cant remember the player or team unfortunately. i just remember the os having an article about the player being fined and having to pay for the ball or something.

Agreed
Good game, good atmosphere and Reading unlucky to concede
Ref was shocking too

Obita incident right in front of me and I thought at least a free kick just outside box

Royal Ginger McCarthy - 7.5 - Would be more if his distribution wasn't so awful. Made some fantastic saves
Gunter - 8 - Excellent in the first half, quietly effective in the 2nd.
Morrison - 7.5 - One of his better games
Gorkss - 6 - Woeful in the first 5 minutes and gave away the crucial free kick, but otherwise not bad.
Kelly - 6 - Again bad in the first 5, not great in the 1st, but much much better after the break
Guthrie - 7 - Best when dropping deep, fed the wingers well
Baird - 7 - Solid, but quiet. Almost a 5th defender.
HRK - 6 - Broke well a few times but no end product
McCleary - 7 - Contender for our goal of the season, looked lively from the middle.
Obita - 5 - Wasteful. Some good flashes, but not quite ready as a starter yet.
Pogrebnyak - 9 - Absolutely excellent. Ball stuck to his feet like glue, winning in the air, winning on the ground, always getting the ball away and not selfish.

Subs - Pointless.

Very harsh on Obita, who was far better than the anonymous HRK.

Really entertaining game that could have gone either way.

If you look at QPR's team it's frightening how many prem players / bright young hopes from the past they have.

Probably a fair result.

Pog was absolutely immense - a man possessed.

Ref was best of the season by a long way - only one incorrect decision IMHO

McCarthy needs to learn to kick.

That is really good banter from Barton. I hope you're not being serious.
