@p!ssed off

So what? Does it REALLY matter?

Who gives a toss if he got something slightly wrong in his post?

I understood the post without trying to pick holes in it.

@Cureton's volley

I don't think you'll ever be satisfied, even IF Adkins bring success judging by your recent posts.

I didn't understand the post:
"Nigel Adkins can't win.
1. Gets slated for bringing on a Midfielder when we are winning.
2. Gets slated for bringing on fresh strikers (defending from the front) when we are winning."

Please interpret:
"Gets slated for bringing on a Midfielder when we are winning."

Just reading the Forest board.

I believe one fan commented "the difference was Reading's ruthless finishing"

.... LOL

If Adkins gets us to finish in the top 6 I'll accept he did well. Until then I take on board he's still finding his feet, so hopefully he'll improve. Big step in the right direction with more direct tactics, now he needs to match that progress with his decisions on personnel.

If someone could be arsed could they do a players' ratings with a few comments on their performances or even just a few comments on some of the noteworthy performances would be good down here in Australia.

That comment was in reference to Adkins tactics in general not just tonight.

Against Millwall and Barnsley we were winning and he took off a striker to defend the lead. Adkins subsequently got slated for not pushing on and scoring the 2nd or 3rd to kill the game off.

Tonight he brought on 2 fresh strikers to push their defence back and defend from the front and kill the game off and he got slated again. Cannot have it both ways.

He got his tactics spot on.

Fair enough. Wasn't sure if you were talking about today or previously so I asked for clarification.

 at saying ARS has a brain though. If you'll read his post, it's fairly clear that he thought you were talking about tonight, and that your comment made sense in that context, When obviously, I think you'll agree, that in the context of just tonight's game the post would not make sense.

Really good team performance. Players all came over at the end and you could tell how much it meant to them. Hopefully this is the turning point..plenty arounf me thought it might be.

McCarthy - Nothing spectacular needed, but commanded his area nicely. Nothing to be done about the goals. - 7
Gunter - Very harshly done to. Solid before the red card. Shame he can't appeal two yellows as he'd be due another apology otherwise. - 7
Pear and Gorkss - Look very comfortable together. Henderson gave them a good test, but apart from a couple of hairy moments did well. - 7
Kelly - Not a LB. Not even close. Did well when moved right after the red. - 6
McCleary - Always a threat, as shown by his assist, but shirked a couple too many challenges for my liking. - 7
Guthrie - Undersated, but kept ball well and put in plenty of good set pieces. A good combo building with Williams. - 7
Williams. - Star man. Energy and quality in abundance. Exactly what we've been missing. Drove the team on, espeicially at 2 - 2. - 8
Hrk - Okay, faded in the second half. Should impose himself more. - 6
Pog. Gr8. I love him. Subbed off to protect him from another yellow and to keep him fresh for Charlton as he's crucial to how we play. - 8

Subs - Sharp offered lots and kept us going forwards to the end. Jobi did well at LB. Blackman didn't do much but put a shift in.
Adkins - Subs were exactly what we needed and we looked very solid in the last 10 mins.
Fans - travelled in numbers and made plenty of noise. Gr8 to be a part of.

At what point do we put Cummings on the left instead of Kelly? Within 2 games of him playing on the left I said he cant play LB

Just got home. Another top top away game to add to the list.

First 30 minutes we were excellent. Attacked with purpose and kept the ball well. I knew that the Mcleary miss was going to be pivotal and indeed it was as back they came.

20 mins of that second half was carnage. I actually don't know what happened but we we're getting ripped apart. They should of got the 3rd and we'd be in big trouble.

Gunter sending off was ridiculous. I was fuming with referees performance. First yellow card was scandalous. Adkins called the subs well and Pog coming off was the right thing as a second booking was coming his way.

Williams man of the match. Top performance. Too energy and showed what he offered instead of Baird who I don't think we will see again in a Reading shirt.

USA_Loyal_Royal as i mentioned in the other thread it should have been obitas second goal as he had one earlier in the season that crossed the line but wasnt given. he will be a real talent for us in the future, if we can hold onto him.

If you're thinking of the chance I think you are, that first "goal" didn't completely cross the line.

Lovely stuff, a win away against a good side
