Handsome Man I liked it when we played three wingers at the start of the season.

Federici

Two of Gunter/Cummings/Kelly Pearce Gorkss

Guthrie Williams

Obita McAnuff McCleary

Sharp

So you would drop our most consistent forward this season for a player yet to play a full game for us?
I'm sure Sharp would win all of the headers as a result of 3 wingers crossing the ball.

___________McCarthy_____________
Gunter__Pearce__Gorkks__Cummings
_______Guthrie__Williams_________
McCleary__________________Drenthe
__________POG__Sharp___________

Bench: Federici, Kelly, Akpan, Obita, Jobi, ALF, Blackman

As Gunters second biggest critic on here (after you Floyd) I find myself unfortunately conceding that for the moment he is our best option at RB. Kelly appears to have lost the quality he showed down the right last season after too many games on the left. From all the reports Cummings wasn't half bad on the left so I would like to see him there again for at least a half.
With Drenthe starting in front of him there will be defensive frailties (fitness related) but we should be able to outscore a team with the 3rd highest coals conceded and also the third worst goal difference. Their record against the top 6 teams (until QPR should be of concern - draws againts Forest and Burnley and a narrow loss to Leicester) Guthrie would want to find his form again soon with Baird possibly returning soon and Williams looking good.
Up front we should go with the same 2 from last game. POG still flying high and I just cant think of a reason to put ALF into this game :/ so Sharp gets the nod. How do we solve a problem like Blackman? Is anyone stupid enough to buy him?

When people say we need more width they don't mean Drenthe's waistline.

Nice picture of Adam Fedrici who is nowhere near as big as Drenthe and is also acknowledged as being one of the first into training, last to leave training and most professional during training.

Strange because you'd never realise it looking at his performances compared to McCarthy's. Does he come and meet you after training in the bushes and is that why he's always the last to leave?

What is your hate for McCarthy?

I just want a simple answer.

As for Drenthe he may be a little big, but nobody can deny he is oxf*rd quick and works surprisingly hard on the pitch.

But only to compensate for all the pies and Fosters he consumes.

I expect to see Gunter back, Cummings dropped but otherwise the same 11 that served up that wonderful performance on Tuesday.

If Williams isn't fit then Akpan will start but they are the only changes I think will happen.

Don't try to be funny Ian. It doesn't suit you.

slot Gunter in at right back, and give Cummings another start at left back.

2 starts for Cummings this season, and 2 clean sheets. Deserves to start.

Hope so. Kelly has been average to poor, never more than that this season. Cummings looked far more comfortable out of place on the left, and he has the pace that Kelly doesn't. Gunter back in at right-back and Cummings keeps his place. If that isn't the case then Bournemouth have a good chance down the right on Saturday.

I thought Cummings did much better at left back than Kelly has ever looked and Kelly was so lucky with the penalty decision against Charlton. I like McAnuff but he looked off the pace and so I would go:

-------------------------McCarthy-----------------------------

Gunter----------Gorkss---------Pearce----------Cummings

McCleary-------Guthrie--------Williams----------Obita

-------------------Sharp----------Pog-------------------------

Subs: Federici, Kelly, Akpan, McAnuff, HRK, Le Fondre, Blackman.

However, Adkins usually throws in a few surprises.
