Fwiw, this is the most fortress-y the Madejski has been since 2004-05, when we were unbeaten in our first 13 home games (lost to Derby in January). Before that you have to go back to our first season at the new stadium for a better start at home, when we didn't lose any of the first 10.

Lost only 3 league matches in 18 too.

If only some of those home draws were wins. Shame we didn't hold on for 30 more seconds against Millwall. Although I suppose we got lucky against Leeds.

From what I have managed to see so far this season, we haven't really played well, yet are still 4th. Maybe a sign that the league is very even/weak, but we are bound to hit some sort of form sooner rather than later and think we could make a late challenge.

Every time we get a shit result after a crap performance I think, great - this could be a positive. The game that spurs us on and we can come back and whoop the next team 6 nil and really find our way.

So far it hasn't happened.

There was Watford, Millwall, Sheffield Wednesday...

Then Forest too where I thought - best result of the season, this is the start of some solid games and confidence.

In short, every time there's a chance to fight back or find our way we blow it. Yea we may be 6th or 7th in the league (I'm avoiding looking) but it really isn't something to justify the performances.

Id like to make it clear - I'm not a hugely negative supporter at all, I'm not one of those who expect miracles or wins all the time. I think we just seem inconsistent and should dominate games when we get the chance - but we don't (generally).
