I'm really surprised that such an incredibly well run club isn't more attractive than lots of other clubs.

we are more attractive than lots.
but also lots of clubs are more attractive than us.

Seeing as the most we have ever forked out for anyone is 2.5m, I'm not sure "technically decent players" are within our price range.

The best we can hope for is "he used to have good skills and, if he ever walks again he might come in handy for 50 minutes."

Get a grip. We dont need someone on the same level to Gylfi. Just a player that plays in the number 10 role to a reasonable standard. How long has it been, 2/3 years..

...in which time we have reached a play-off final, FA Cup Quarter-final and won the Championship. How much longer must we suffer?

No Fixed Abode Does Nicky Hammond do scouting for Reading?

And also, who else makes up the scouting team?

It's just Reading never really buy technically decent players, so I was wondering why they haven't been replaced with better scouts?
because our "scouts" have to be bob-a-jobbers.

They have to make money, not fritter it away on the likes of that Bogarde etc etc

We have always been in the dark ages. 442. Only system most Reading fans can understand.

Shame you can't understand that 442 is all English football will ever amount to. Want good technical football where players are adaptable and can play different formations? Watch La Liga or the Bundesliga.

Silver Fox Dear Nick

Why do you bother? You do a cracking job by almost all standards and all you get is whininess off of intermong belmonts. I for one don't want you to leave but surely you'd be happier doing something else? Unless of course you're better than me and never read the toss these clowns write on here?

Best of luck and continued success

Dear Nicky

Did you really let in one hundred goals in one season?

Yours faithfully

Chuckle Brother Dear Nick ( or can I call you Nicky ?)

Given the popular opinion that a takeover has been agreed and new finance is coming (at least in principle), the usual Reading FC transfer window excuses will not wash this time.

Trotting out the usual lines such as having a list of targets but time running out before the deals could be done is not going to cut it.

For information, the window does not open at 4pm on the last day.

Yours sincerely,

Barry Chuckle (and the other one whose name I can't remember and can't be arsed to look up).

Dear Nick- blah blah blah

fuck off

Dear Nicky,

I remember you in goal against the Cardiff barbarians at Elm Park in the F.A. Cup.

I was on the Tilehurst End, having moved round from the Southbank at half-time.

You seemed to have the added element of the ability to levitate that evening.

I could see you flying through the violence-filled night air stopping Welsh goals being scored while being able to see the gable-end of the Spread at the same time.

I love you.

Yours, etc., etc.

Herring.
