there are many, many, many clubs that can give lessons to Reading on, well, everything really.

Brighton are not one of them.

They always do seem to have a chip on their shoulder about us. Same as Bournemouth, I don't quiet get it.

Their vitriol for Adkins is always amusing.

Exhibit A as to why Brighton should be in the play offs at Reading's expense

Yeah they really showed him when Brighton went on to consolidate their position in the Championship whereas Adkins and Southampton went straight up again and are now back as an established Premier League club.

Stato You can't be us because you haven't got...the Downs

I don't, that's true. But I applaud the progressive attitude to disability.

In the past I have enjoyed living in Brighton, even going to watch them play on occasion. Unfortunately, those days are no more.

Reading has long dealt with becoming a modern, commercialized city (in all but name) - now bereft of what little sub-culture and underdog ideals which previously brought meaning to our existence. Nothing signaled this transformation more poignantly than our move from the grand old Elm Park to the Madejski Stadium.

Despite trying desperately hard to retain their 'mojo' - like a middle-aged Gentleman rocking Converse - some 15 years later and Brighton too has sold it's soul... for a full page spread on page 53 of the Guardian. With their Green Party MP & council prescribing £15 for a day's street parking & £4 for a single bus ticket, residents can take comfort knowing they have finally won their war to 'stick it to the man'. The town-center has become as generic as any other, and even 'uniquely Brighton' events such as the annual 'Pride' festival have sold out to sponsorship-deals and now charge for attendance.

Brighton has become little more than another stop for Mark Wright's tour bus:

It it any wonder they resort to getting their kicks from calling more successful clubs 'tinpot'..?

They are on page 7 whilst we are stuck on page 2

Either they are a far bigger club than us or they care a lot more than we do..............

Brighton fans are grizzling, self-important Queens. When they played Hull in the FA Cup earlier this year they had a NO TO HULL TIGERS banner in the away end, as if they speak for all Hull fans in their self-appointed role as football's moral compass

P!ssed Off it looks like you're trying a bit too hard.

Sandman's epitaph. Is he still wanting Federici back in the side at AMc's expense?

Can't really get on board with this thread. Brighton are a very similar club to us, there really isn't much in it. Good luck to them if they get in the play-offs, and if they do I genuinely hope they go up! Much rather them than a Derby or a QPR, or a half-empty JJB Stadium every week.

What a brilliant riposte. It is hard to imagine how I'll recover from that put down.

Can't really get on board with this post. I don't mind the club itself, they have a nice stadium and they play pleasant enough football, but the fans are the most superior acting bunch of fcuktards around. They way they bleat on you'd think we should just roll over on Saturday so that they can secure their rightful place in the top league of English football.

Single best website ever and met with incredulity by horrified Brighton fans after a spot of "Reading are a bigger club than Brighton" bantz.

Tbf I ultimately wish them well and certainly if they end up playing QPR in the playoffs I'll be actively supporting them.

Single best website ever?

According to that Leyton Orient are a bigger club than us! (and Luton and Port Vale!) - it's total garbage
