Good game. Not the best performance but we played some decent stuff at times and actually look like scoring when on the ball now which is a plus. Norwood the class player again for me, and thought Cox was penetrative. Need more pace in the team.

WTF was with the snoozefest of Guthrie, Kohl & Norwood as a central 3?

We had no bite in midfield at all once the Akpan/Guthrie change happened, then Kohl just looked like a weedy schoolboy.

According to our tactical genius of a manager, he made the half time switch as we needed to get control of the game and control the ball in the middle to deny it to wolves..... how'd that work out for you nige?

Norwood, Cox, Blackman were pretty decent today, the defence just shambolic. We really need Karacan & Williams back as the problem is our piss weak midfield

Floyde you are such a tw@. Always focussing on the negative.

How about giving a balanced view of the match instead of being a c***. Are you even capable of this?

Thought we looked ok bar a poor period in 2nd half where defence was all over. Akpan poor on the ball but i guess he did the dirty work 1st half breaking up their play. Attack looked potent although murray could try play cox in more. Good game overall.

When the day comes when a team, however sh!t, gets over our half way line and I'm not expecting us to be pulling the ball out of the back of our net - we might be top 6.

Whatevs
floyd__streete 15 minutes after half time was excruciating, Wolves could have scored 5 in that period, we were shambolic. Pearce particularly awful.

Passing sluggish and slow throughout. We're very one paced.

Guthrie made Akpan look good. You've been a consistently rotten egg for our club, just f*ck off elsewhere.....it has been awful.

Good to see Blackman is still utter, utter sh*t.

We have been consistently bad defensively since the start of the Adkins regime. His assistant Crosby was allegedly a centre half during his career, so why do we concede so often and so badly?

Very fortunate result.

yeah, fold the club

Obita isn't a defender. He should be on the wing and we should sign a proper left back.

New left back and experienced centre back needed urgently.

Actually I found it quite entertaining our comedy defending aside.

People shouldn't forget we are still missing a bunch of players due to injury. When Karacan and Williams return it will give us some steel in the midfield. We need to tighten up in the back. We are doing much better than I expected with all of our young academy players having to play such important roles.

Bottom line was it was some very entertaining football and we look as good with the ball as I have seen us over the past few years.

TBM
Ian Royal Both a fair result and a game we should have won but for missed chances first half and suicidal defending.

fed 6 not much to save that I recall, little chance with the goals.
gunter 5 should have sako in his pocket, instead was on toast for him
obita 5 good forward at fault for the first two goals. Defender first.
pearce 7 ok
hector 7 sloppy at times
akpan 5 sloppy. He's weak in the tackle, poor positionally and whilst he tries to control it he's not good.enough to
norwood 6 not given the space or options to show his best
taylor 7 not a left winger but puts a shift I and scored again
blackman 6 flattered and failed to deliver
cox 7 worked hard
murray 7 same as cox

guthrie 6 off the pace
mackie 7 solid defensively
kuhl 7 not quite there but he's a talent so bonus for being young

You do know Norwood was given MOTM on sky, don't you.

I thought once again he looked class - goes about his job quietly but does it so well

No, because I went to the match.

I've seen him do a lot more and better. 6 might be a bit harsh.

I thought that Akpan was poor but at least he gave the Wolves midfield something to think about in terms of closing them down in that clumsy style of his. Guthrie was plain awful, as he has been in terms of attitude and performance since he darkened our doors.

I am more than happy with a draw against a Wolves side who will finish well above us in the table, btw. Who wouldn't take Kenny Jackett over Nigel Adkins any day :?:

On the guthrie sub, taking off akpan who'd been poor was a sound choice. At HT for Guthrie who wasn't match fit and is dodgy in the tackle was far from ideal. Particularly in hindsight.

I don't think there was a good call there. Akpan was poor and the replacements were a poor selection for the situation.

St. Brynjar
Winston Smith
St. Brynjar The game changed at half time because Jackett rained down like hellfire on his players

How would you even know that?

Because that literally always happens.

All the times you have been in the dressing room with Jackett at HT?

Or Jamie Redknapp & 'Merse' said so?

Keep that knee jerkin' son. He was our player of the season playing left back last year. He was crap today, but that's one game.

You can't do anything about individual errors. Sometimes good players screw up. As long as its not frequent you get over it.
Obita is not suddenly awful because he had a bad game defensively.

Gunter is getting worrying because he has had few good defensive performances this season. Pearce is fine. Hector's still learning and doing well considering. Blackman is not terrible, he's been good this season, still ropey in places like today.

We'll be fine this season and we're building a very good young side that'll have plenty of experience next season.

Lacoste I've given up on Adkins. Hasn't all been his fault since he's been here by any stretch just get the feeling it isn't going to work for him here.

Sometimes, things just don't work out.

Agreed, although our club does seem to be a stumbling block for a lot of otherwise-successful managers: Adkins, Rodgers, Burns etc.
