poohs pure Shit team, full of shit players, with a shit manager watched by shit fans who constantly make shit excuses for shit performances. What makes this current crock of shit even more frustrating is knowing how good we have been in recent times and how far we have fallen. I have had a 40 year love affair with this club and followed them everywhere through thick and thin, never have I been so disillusioned with RFC as I am now, there soul has gone out of this club and probably actually football in general. Sad times for me, never thought I would lose the passion I have carried with me over the years.

Keep your chin up. Enjoy whatever you decide to to.

Thank you

King Arthur's? Saxon Fields? River Way? Cricketers Way? Which part of our great Hampshire idyll are you hiding in?

None of the above :) (except Hampshire). Although The Merlin is one of our pubs we occasionally drink in 8)

Oh dear, sounds like a dreadful performance. The post-match analyses could have been written for so many of the games I attended in the 1970s and 80s but then we kind of expected it and, with a few exceptions, most of the players then would by their own admission never have been good enough to perform outside the bottom two divisions. For a team to have sustained success over a period of years is the exception rather than the rule and I feel we may have had ours for a couple of seasons at least.

40 years a supporter . and you arre disillusioned? I can imagine you`ve seen some truly awful sides in that time (as of I) the old division 4 finishing bottom half. a few relegations. some people don`t know they are born.

Kuhl losing the ball in midfield, striker swinging at and missing the ball wrong footing the defence, following up striker clear strike at goal

I think that is probably a bit OTT-but I get where you are coming from-beginning to wonder why I bought a season ticket ?

Did you engage your brain before purchasing it? we can all dream of success, but the whole world and his dog understood that this season it was likely that we would be mid table at best, in fact NA admitted this before a ball was kicked in anger.

My friend, who is a Brentford fan, went to the game and had this very brief piece to say.

Reading were shit for the first 15mins but improved after. Second half Reading dominated and were very unlucky. Brentford didn't deserve to win but that's life.

However, reading this lot there seems to be a different game that was played at the same time.

I think your Brentford supporting friend is the one most accurately describing what actually transpired. The ref's decision to allow their third goal not only made the loss look far worse than it was but also took the wind completely out of the team's sails when it was looking like they would come back to get at least a point from the game.

We scored early in the second half and then failed to score again... Regardless of when Brentford scored the third if we csnt score in the next forty mins we deserved the defeat.

We were shambolic for most of the first half not just 15 mins.

Better 2nd half but better is not good enough.
