Unbelievable Jeff POG - 8 - MOTM. Absolutely class, his hold up play was sensational and his little lay offs to bring other people into the game was a joy to watch. Topped of by possibly our quickest goal since Kevin Doyle V Sheff Utd? if he continues in this vain I'll be disappointed to see him go at the end of the season.

Not sure Pog will be going anywhere in the summer. still got another year on his contract yet hasn`t he?

Has he? I thought his contract was up in the summer... I'm probably wrong though.

Franchise FC
Unbelievable Jeff Great performance...seems like we are coming on leaps and bounds under Clarke and the confidence in the side is increasing week on week.

Federici - 7 - Couple of great saves ( especially from the Sako header from corner ) and on the whole commanded his box well.

Kelly - 7 - Again looked very solid and one outstanding passage of defending late on to block the ball a couple of times then got it clear.
Pearce - 7 - Back to the Pearce we know...solid!
Hector - 8 - Just Class, getting better every time I see him and now becoming more intelligent on his decisions.
Obita - 6 - Also solid, nothing spectacular.

McCleary - 7 - looks dangerous every time he gets the ball and his pace is frightening.
Williams - 7 - He's also found his form again in recent weeks topped of by a fantastic strike to win the game.
Chalobah - 6 - Lost the ball a few times, apart from that not too bad.
HRK - 5 - Meh, My biggest frustration with him is the way he slows everything down, its such a contrast when we have the direct McCleary on one wing then HRK who tries to be clever my doing step-overs on the other wing. Also when he loses the ball he never puts his gut into tracking back and just leisurely jogs back.

Cox - 7 - Solid.
POG - 8 - MOTM. Absolutely class, his hold up play was sensational and his little lay offs to bring other people into the game was a joy to watch. Topped of by possibly our quickest goal since Kevin Doyle V Sheff Utd? if he continues in this vain I'll be disappointed to see him go at the end of the season.

All in all good away day apart from the pathetic Wolves fan who attacked a Reading fan outside the ground after the match for singing and a shit 5 hour journey home thanks to someone throwing themselves in front of a train.

Fastest goal ?
Shirley the Kebe FACup goal was a little quicker and do you mean Doyle's at Luton ?

Ah yes, Kebe after 8 seconds or something wasn't it and no, I'm pretty sure Doyle scored in about 16 seconds against Sheff Utd, possibly in the first PL season.

Super game. I largely agree with Jeff's player ratings, though I thought Obita warranted a 7.

Cracking finish by Williams for his goal, he's getting back to his best. It's great to see the confidence returning to the side and even when Wolves equalised, you felt we'd have enough to win it.

If the club can bring in a left winger loan with a good end product, we'll have a strong second half of the season.

If he finishes the season on 12+ goals he'll absolutely deserve it and almost certainly get it. Competition not exactly strong for the third season running though, sadly.

For what it's worth, Whoscored.com have MotMs as:
Norwood - 5
Obita, Hector & Cox - 2
Pearce, Williams, Murray, Cooper, Pog & Cummings - 1

Ian hates Federici so he's probably ignoring the times Feds has won it.

Feds at this point is POTS.

How many unbelievable saves has he made, how many goals stopped when it looked certain the ball was going on? He's probably saved lots of points for us

Agreed.

He seems to be reading the ball and placing himself better too. My heart is no longer in my mouth when a ball is bloated over

Doyle did score after 16 seconds at Sheff Utd in 06/07, but you're thinking of this game vs Luton from the previous season, where he scored after 18 seconds in the match that ultimately ended our 33 game unbeaten run.

Feds POTS for me. Sit right behind the goal in the North Stand, and he has made some stunning saves. Best one was the tip on to the bar from Patrick Bamford for Borough.

You are correct. Bare in mind this is out of both sides and stat based. We've also conceded a lot of goals which is always going to screw a keeper.

He's surely a contender for PotS seeing as he's recaptured his promotion form.
I'd probably call it Norwood, Federici & Cox for the top three. Though Williams, McCleary & Pog have been ace the last few. Hector and Pearce have had some brilliant games, some poor, but a strong second half of the season could see them contend as well IMO.
