genome Would be good to go back to a traditional Brian 4-4-2 with width.

--------------------------Bond-----------------------
Gunter-------McShane----Hector-----Taylor
McCleary----Norwood----Williams-----John
------------------Blackman----Vydra-------------

I prefer 4-4-2, but this was all Brian knew, and it killed us in the Premier League. It'll be interesting to see if he's developed a Plan B. We can't settle into a 4-4-2, get promoted, then scratch our heads when we don't know how to cope against decent footballing sides in the top flight.

FWIW I'd take that starting eleven, and Calamity Habsi wouldn't get another game with a bit of luck. We need stability at the back and that begins with the keeper.

Absolute rubbish! W played 4-5-1 with Gylfi behind Long

-------------------Al-Habsi--------------------
Hector---Cooper--McShane--Gunter
-----------Norwood-----Williams---------
Mcleary---------------------------------HRK
-------------Blackman-----------------------
----------------------Vydra--------------------

Subs: Bond, #young defender# Keown, John, Hurtado, Fernandez, Piazon

Norwood and Williams played deep, Mcleary and Robson-Kanu kept very busy.

I predict a 4-4-2 of:

Bond, Gunter, Hector, McShane, Taylor, Mccleary, Quinn, Norwood, HRK, Blackman, Vydra.

Subs Al-Habsi, Keown, Cooper, Williams, John, Piazon, Liburd

As its Gunter and he's a massive pussy I'd suggest it's more than likely that he won't be.

tidus_mi2 So is Keown a centre back or a full back?

He's perfectly comfortable in either position, but he's probably slightly better at right back.

------------------Bond-------------------------
Hector - McShane Cooper - Keown*
Williams Norwood Quinn
Blackers ----Vydra----- Kanu

Subs: Dropsi, Sweeney, Fernandez, Hurtado, McCleary, Liburd, Piazon
* not sure if he can play left back but assume all regular full backs are injured

Going for the Tony Pulis 4 centre back formation and a fluid front three

Leicester and Watford both play 4-4-2 and they're 1st and 7th in the league.

All dependent on how many defenders we've got

I'm reckoning on Obita (obviously), Taylor and Ferdinand all being definitely out but Gunter making it. Also I'm expecting Sa to still be crocked

Therefore my 11 would be

Bond
Keown McShane Cooper Gunter
Quinn Hector Norwood
Blackman HRK Vydra

Subs

Al-Habsi
Williams
McLeary
John
Liburd
Hurtado
Fernandez

A bit of Reading reject might be in order.

Won't be booing though. Guthrie was blighted by injury and Akpan can't help being a bit crap.

I have nothing against Akpan, he just isn't very good at football.

I would say he's crap, maybe he should be a defender or something. I think he'd excel at a lower level where everyone has the touch of a rapist!
