OK I'll set it up for someone...

What has Leon got against white women?

My willy.

Against them?

It makes it sound like you squeeze alongside women in crowded trains for a cheap thrill.

It's a hobby, I suppose.

Don't knock it until you've tried it.

If you can knock it, you're probably overdoing the viagra.

Four Of Clubs ...worth a rare venture onto the TB for this:

1. LINVOY

2. GILKSEY

3. SHAKA

... with a nod for long service and dedication to the cause in difficult times, to Stevie ("OFFSIDE !") Richardson (10 yrs) & Keith McP. (9 yrs)

(.. Sonks deserves a mention too but I consider his value has to be viewed as a 'greater whole than the parts' alongside Ivar - but here you go ...)

... and btw Jimmy K. would never be lowered enough to be considered part of any poll obvs. 8)

Anyone have a link for a higher quality version of that picture?

leon What about White Man History month?

You never hear anything about us in history. We are the forgotten people. When do we get a voice?

Its political correctness gone mad.

That is a text-book comedic one-liner set-piece so polished it could have been rehearsed at Bisham Abbey.

Favourite black Royal? Ray Wallace.

Who was the first black player to play for Reading FC? Was the club amoung the first or last to have a black player in the team?

Yes, that looks right after a quick google. 1972 seems a little late to the party? Or was that common due to the number of clubs?

I'm so right on I don't even know which players are black and which aren't.

1972 would have been about 'normal'. Some clubs made it to the 1990s.

My favourites, with supporting photos.

Nevada Phillips (TBM said he was still playing local football in his 50s)

Keith McPherson (on the left in that photo)

plus

remember seeing one of the first black players to establish himself within the English leagues......Ces Podd played for Bradford at EP about the same time as Andy A got his first starts for Reading......he had only been established there a couple of years previously.

There's an old RFC team pic in which all the players are wearing football boots apart from the young black lad who is sat there in a pair of Converse. Most racist thing I ever saw man.

Anyone have a copy?

Shaka
Gilkes

Shaka - best goalkeeper I've ever seen play live - big reason for our play off final appearance in 95

Gilkesy - a true Reading legend - brilliant on his day, Simod Cup final, league cup game against Chelsea, but not quite good enough to be tempted away in his prime

Here is the magnificently named Ces Podd watching on as Percy heads home against Bradford in March 73.
