We said goodbye to Elm Park with the following lineup

Granted, there are a couple of club legends on the way down in there and Caskey and Parky did well at a lower level but arguably only Linvoy Primus went on to better things and there's 6 out of 13 players there you'd wish never pulled on the shirt.

I was at that game, and no way this team wins due to Primus, Caskey, Parky, Archie and Lambert (who was doing something very naughty indeed in his personal life, but I shall say no more)

However if we were to rate them:

Scott Howie - truly awful
Stuart Gray - truly forgetful
Andy Bernal - Limited, also some 'personal issues', but decent enough squad player
Linvoy Primus - great, couldn't pass
Paddy Kelly - see Stuart Gray
Stuart Lovell - great, should have scored more
Phil Parkinson - limited, great
Darren Caskey - fat, talented, slow, fat
Michael Meaker - out best player once when we got humped 6-1 at home to palace
Michael O'Neil - see Paddy Kelly
Robert Fleck.- old, slow, crap
Subs
Paul Brayson - once in Fourfour two's one to watch for the future. Probably best that you didn't though. Couldn't score.
Jamie Lambert - hmmmm, but a great player for a few seasons. Could dribble.

All true but that team was arguably the strongest side available and 6 or 7 players are a disgrace to the shirt. The Watford game was a scratch side thrown together because we had a Cup replay 2 days later and we rested the whole first team.

The striker is now 40 and runs a taxi firm but is still pulling on his boots and STILL getting on the scoresheet for Northern League outfit Newcastle Benfield.
Brayson even took his seasonal goal tally to 40 strikes in 43 games for the season after netting in Newcastle Benfield’s 4-0 hammering against Seaham Red Star this week.

After netting over 50 goals last season, Brayson shows no signs of losing his goalscoring instincts
