Tetek not on bench - is he another injury?

Look at the bench that is even more depressing than the starting line up.

I can almost understand Olise on the bench, in case we need to change the game from the bench but Esteves over Holmes makes zero sense. Let’s be real with that front line we’re unlikely to take a lead which we will have to protect and even though Holmes had wobbled a bit of late, he is VASTLY better defensively.

Zip Would take a draw. That’s the weakest starting line up in a long time. Injuries could kill our season in the next few weeks.

Its the same starting 11 we had V Bournemouth except Baldock for Joao. Did ok in the first half...

Agree - all I can think is that Pauno thinks Esteves will offer more going forwards but it is very hard to be optimistic that we will get anything from this game. I suppose if we do by some miracle get the lead he could bring on Holmes to shore things up at the back. Can only see a QPR win today.

It’s a difficult one because Esteves has made quite a few mistakes leading to goals but I don’t particularly like seeing Holmes at RB, he’s too cautious (understandably so) and it’s a real momentum killer when he’s on the ball

But on the flip side Esteves has also offered oxf*rd all as an attacking threat.

windermereROYAL That bench

Doesn’t look too great but I prefer the squad size this season to last years which had too many players

I don’t disagree but he at least looks natural there and might move the ball on at a quicker tempo

Personally feel bringing in Esteves was just about right but would switch him for Holmes against Norwich. Need Yiadom or Araruna back soon

But if we’re going for a more attacking threat from the start why not start our most creative player?

Please lads keep the ball on the ground as much as possible.

If Olise is fit, are we over-managing him in that he seldom plays 90 minutes anyway?
I wish he were starting.

Melvin-Lambert played 90 minutes last night, if Baldock has to go off then we’re in trouble. Aluko has played centre forward before I guess.

I mean I’m not sure what the question was but whatever it was, Melvin-Lambert wasn’t the answer

Why be a twat about a youth player you've barely ever seen?

So much negativity.

I've a lot of time for Baldock, scored some important goals for us in recent seasons. Great acceleration, quick decisions, good finisher.

If we try to use him like Joao (hint: we won't) then yes I can understand the negativity, but I'm sure we'll use Baldock to his strengths.

Making the comment ready for the post match gloat.

We can win this.

Not keen on Esteves and Aluko in for Olise and Holmes. The former two haven't really contributed a great deal and have some big mistakes in them. They other two have mostly done well.

Take the last game, took Olise off and then got a fk or two he could have really done something with.
