Agree with this.

Yep - I always thought this run of games after the last international break looked tough, particularly as we are relying on the same back line still.

29/30 points would be very nice by the world cup all things considered.

The Watford game being re-scheduled next week is completely mad, the people who run the EFL have no understanding of modern football. I'd be gutted for baba or Junior if they get some muscle injury just before the world cup.

But then the club still have to play at Hull after Watford so those players still have 4 games to “worry”. Actually wonder if the WC will come into some manager’s minds with regard to team selections eg. perhaps in some instances they may choose to “rest” certain players. Also might some players, even it’s just sub-consciously, not be quite “at it” for their clubs in the next week or two esp. those who play for the lesser nations given the once in a life time nature of the competition.

Anyway, when will the national various squads be announced?

General opinion in the media is Sunday November 13th for the final 26 man squad.

Snowflake Royal I think it's time to give up on 3 CBs. We just don’t have the resources fit to do it.

McIntyre probably needs more time than a couple of days to be sure he's ok, especially given his history.

We absolutely need an Academy CB on the bench though.

oxf*rd it, let's surprise them and really go for it.

....................Lumley
Hoilett, Yiadom, Holmes, NGW
......Hendrick, Loum, Ejaria
Meite.................................Ince
......................Carroll

Bouzanis, Rahman, Abbey/Clarke, Fornah, Long, Joao, Camara

Personally think it isn’t so much the problem with the CB’s, but instead not getting enough from the respective WB’s. Hoilett had a very good game against Norwich but been disappointing since then, not having a go at his fullback and for a player of his experience, switched off badly on Saturday (dived in for the first goal too). We all know Rahman’s limitations, solid enough but not ambitious enough. Mbengue isn’t the answer. Like Guinness Walker but he has a lot to learn

We have strong options for the FB/WB options for the first time in a while but at the same time, it’s a problem, can’t just rely on everything coming from the two up top

Can anyone remember who the Reading keeper was who tripped up the gobby Luton Town mascot all those Years ago, when said mascot was giving it large to the Reading fans behind the goal?

I think it might have been Phil Whitehead.......

Can't remember but I'll generally just be happy if our GK doesn't gift them a goal this season.

Interesting* fact. After tonight's game, the only sides in the top 9 we will have not played away from home are Norwich and Watford - and the latter is our next away game. Would imagine that is the toughest set of away games of any club in the division to this point.

Luton only have the 17th best home record in the division this season though.

So means after the WC - our home games may get tougher but our away games more favourable.

Bit worried about a central midfield containing Hendrick and Ejaria. Why isn't Fornah starting recently? I'd assumed he was nailed on for a start tonight with Loum suspended..

Been a bit iffy, Ince doesn't seem to rate / trust him as much.

Management possibly trying to keep things fresh as much as possible and so weighing what he brings to the team against the way Luton set up and play.
