Just to join the mega moan, the f*cking bus service have put their prices up by 2 quid on returns. It's now 7.50 return from Mereoak.
Bloody robbery.

Bus company is not to blame. RFC has withdrawn the subsidy it was paying them, so they had to increase the fare.

Royals and Racers

RG30 1,377 away tickets sold which is a good number.

And those 1,377 fans will go home happy Saturday evening

Presumably they are in the south stand next to 1871 ?

I think it's the Upper West blocks and the South Stand block closest to the West Stand (R32?).

The subsidy was like £2000 a game so equates to about 50p (estimate) a fare so little difference. Reading buses should get all the flack here

Tough start to life in Div 1 and would be happy for a draw i guess. Going to be a weird atmosphere with all the doom mongers fearing the worst.
Happy to get the season started to try and take some of the pressure off the circus that is Reading Fc at present.

Hoping that a change to 4-2-3-1 and some Selles motivation will get us through this lol.

Bouzanis/Andresson

Yids Holmes Dorsett/Hutchinson NGW

Savage Mbengue

Azeez Wing Knibbs

Carroll

I guess this'll depend on our glorious overlord being able to pay the bills :D :D :D PS haven't named a subs bench as i have no idea if we have enough players to do so

The prices went up during last season by 50p due to inflation, even with the subsidy inflation would've pushed prices up further this season.

Also a subsidy of £2000 equating to 50p per fare suggests 4,000 people are using the subsidised buses each game. I would guess the number of people using subsidised buses wouldn't top 2,000 for most games with our current attendances (hard to estimate shuttle bus usage though) - meaning it would be closer to a £1 subsidy per ticket. With the station at Green Park now being open, the number of people using the buses (especially to the town centre) would probably fall anyway.

Popping to West Palm Beach for the weekend, so probably won't be able to watch this. Expect we'll win comfortably though.

They can't run a bus for 3 hours for £275?

If we weren't in such a mess I'd say this is a home banker. But because we're in such a mess this could be another Norwich v Colchester style drubbing where we get absolutely creamed.

I got 7/5 odds on an away win and that's an easy money winner.

To make you all aware of the refeeing changes to the game you can expect to see this season (it's a bit more than just the time keeping)

Would suggest walking from Mereoak if you can. You can still park there without charge. Been doing it for 2 seasons now.

Going to Eintracht V Forest on Saturday so won't be watching the game, so fully expecting a surprising 3-1 home win.

NathStPaul Betting against your own team? What a great supporter you are.

Why does betting on a result, you expect to happen
have anything to do with loyalty to one's team?

Could I bet, for example, £50 on RFC to lose
(because it is likely) and yet be happy to lose my bet?

Does every person who predicts RFC to lose
in a predictions competition, automatically
become a non-supporter?

Match officials will also be taking a more robust approach to dealing with clear/deliberate actions that are impactful in delaying the restart of play, with players cautioned if they are guilty of:

Delaying the restart of play
