blythspartan Stansfield picked up a knee injury today, which is a shame as I was looking forward to seeing him play.
Got to love that tongue in cheek comment

Snowflake Royalkatweslowski This is going to be a tasty fixture, on and off the pitch. I'll be there with a few of my crew.
The Scorpians?

We're an associate group to them called The Crabs. We didn't chose the name but videos of our lot fighting went public and it was noted that we all move sideways when dodging the enemy's attempts to strike.

Hound Couple of crap results for us last night does make this feel a fairly big game for any play off ambitions. Could be well behind if we lose and Orient etc win again

IMPORTANT TICKET INFORMATION FOR THE CLASH WITH THE BLUES
Reading face off with Birmingham City this Saturday for a 12:30pm kick off, and with our visitors selling out their full allocation, a sales criteria will be in place for supporters buying tickets in the home sections of the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
With immediate effect, Royals fans will only be able to purchase tickets if their Royals Account has a previous purchase history with either 25+ Loyalty Points or a Legacy Status. The move is designed to prevent the possibility of visiting fans purchasing tickets in the home sections and in turn ensure the safety of supporters, and will remain in place on matchday.
If you do not qualify or need any further assistance, please call the Ticket Office on 0118 968 1313 and select option 1 to speak with a member of the Sales Team.

Bit of a knee jerk reaction by the club seeing it was announced 4 days before the game
Any Brum fans wanting tickets in the home end would have purchased them well before now

Play-offs is a total bonus - so not even thinking like that and even if we do lose (likely) then a 7pt gap can close very quickly indeed still.

I agree!
It’s cliche, but I am just trying to enjoy one game at a time and I don’t think about the playoffs. Unless we get a new owner it all feels a bit pointless tbh.

The one good thing about the ownership saga is its keeping expectation in perspective.
Can you imagine the outrage if Dai had sold up straight away and we'd gone two seasons without promotion

Yeah x would have had a meltdown.
I always thought about 3-4 years, but realistically had we got new owners last summer we’d possibly be challenging for top 2 now.
I just see a fantastic opportunity lost to rebuild the club, and what could have been if we’d improved the squad and Ruben had stayed.

Oh yeah.
With a good reset, we had an ok chance of straight back, good chance this season and good chance next season, with 2-4 very realistic.
We've shown how doable that would have been with a properly run club and only a little financial investment given the superb recruitment in 2023 and performance since in very trying circumstances. Even with a thinner squad this season we're competing at the top.
Who could predict in 2022/23 that Dai would both completely shut off funding and refuse to sell after relegation? Not a single person.
It's clear how good a full reset would have been for the club, given how good just a playing side reset has been.
Can we complete the ownership side one before the playing side one is destroyed, it ever? That's the only question. As ever, get almost anyone in to replace Dai and at least the short term prospects of the club drastically improve.

Mr Angry The irony is that the better we perform, the less likely Dai will be to sell us; he will think "if Reading get to the Play Offs, and then get promoted, I can ask £100M instead of £50M".

Yeah this is it; so incredibly frustrating. Wouldn’t have taken too much at the start of the year
