I think Harper is more loyal but Sidwell has more quality.

At the moment Sidwell if we but another box to box midfielder (I heard Lampard's partner wants to move our of London) who can impose himself in midfield then Harper.

Harper is the more telented and exciting player.

Sidwell is the more consistent and 'English' type of Midfielder.

When I saw this thread I thought here we go, Sid has a good game so the daggers are out for our Harps.

How wrong could I be. It's refreshing to see how many people appreciate Harps' tireless running and pivotal midfield play.

Got to be Harper, he does so much without be noticed as he is not a flair player but an effective player. He spends the whole game organising and instructing players around him,and in the last 2 years he has even learn't how to tackle. A captain of the future and a good servant to the club.

I'd rather bring Caskey out of retirement than watch that fat cnut wearing the hoops. One good season does not a good player make.

Why? I went for Harper, he runs all day, rarely gives the ball away, and sprays the ball about well.

Sidwell for me as Harper just make enough goals. I cant belive he did'nt even get one assist last season, even Lita managed a few.

Sidwell breaks up the play and wins the ball superbly (West Ham and Tottenham being prime examples of him at the top of his game). Absolutely invaluable in giving us possession. Can't afford to lose him. Brilliant today again.

a few people on here were saying they prefer harps as he's a loyal royal, but did he say last season that if reading didn't get promoted then he would be playing in the prem without reading anyway because he could go to west ham. or was that a joke of his i missed the point.

Also how about when harps embraced poll and looked like he was going to give him a kiss if he gave us a corner instead of the goalkick

Still voted sidders though.
