Jaques Francais The decision to change the commentry was a commercial one, pure and simple. If you really think a petition will make any difference to a business decision, influenced by money, then by all means waste your time filling it in. But it won't.
It may make them realise it was the wrong money making decision as less fans (and ultimately customers of RFC) are served.

Sadly, there seem to be some fools completely undermining the petition by posting fake entries.

Anyone posted it on 606 website (Radio 5?). Just a lot of like minded fans who will undoubtedly understand where we're coming from even though not RFC fans...

I'm not registered but if someone already has a 'presence' on there can they post the link for the petition?

thefruits Royal Bother. I agree that name calling would be wholly undeserved and is not the motive of the petition or any emails that I have seen or sent.

This decision would be fine if it was a simple transfer of rights from one broadcaster to another with similar reach and breadth.

It is not. It will result in literally thousands of fans losing access to something which has brought them enjoyment in an accessible manner. R107 does not reach across the County and Reading is the only club in a very wide catchment area and serves (and is served by that community).

I don't think a club in London, Manchester, Birmingham or any other metropolitan area would take such a short-sighted view to cut itself off from its supporters in this manner.

very true i think its important not to lose sight of the problem which is the club is going to lose exposure for what it seems a small amount of money in addition to alienating many current fans by not giving them freedom of choice and not providing ease of access to games when the fan is out of the catchment area.

oh and proving the bbcrb's loyalty to be wasted

You're so right, well done. A good arguement, I wish you'd told us this straight away so we didn't waste all our energy over this.

It's good to see all this support, if we keep going this way it should really take off, lets hope this all has the desired effect.

It took me minimal time to make this petition, and will take you even less to sign it.

C'mon, you know it makes sense.

Keep up the good work, I'm emailing Joel now to keep him updated on how we are doing.
