So it's OK for Chelsea/Arsenal fans to live in Reading and support big clubs then

alad The amount of talk/topics about the United game indicates it's Reading's cup final.
More likely a reflection of the number of United fans who post on these boards and the fact Utd are the first big team to play us this season.

maybe, but it's not as if they support them because they are closer. They are gloryhunters to exactly the same degree.

Hampshire Royal Also Arsenal and Chelsea are 'local' to us and a lot of Reading fans will know genuine Arsenal and Chelsea fans rather than the lifelong Man U fans who've never been further north than Caversham.

Half of Liverpools fans at the Community shield had southern accents, they should get stick too.

Half of Chelsea's fans can hardly string a sentence together so you can't tell where they come from.

redcafe.net We'll bum them everywhere.

"We shall go on to the end, we shall bum them in Frimley, we shall bum them on the Thames, we shall bum them with growing confidence and growing strength in the Broad St Mall, we shall defend our Football Club, whatever the cost may be, we shall bum them on the beaches, we shall bum on the landing grounds, we shall bum them in the fields and in the streets, we shall bum them in the hills; we shall never surrender."

Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few. All hearts go out to the football players, whose brilliant actions we see with our own eyes day after day; but we must never forget that all the time, night after night, month after month, our bumming squadrons travel far into Manchester, find their targets in the darkness by the highest navigational skill, aim their attacks, often under the heaviest northerner, often with serious loss, with deliberate careful discrimination, and inflict shattering bummings upon the whole of the technical and play-making structure of the Manc power

I have a dream that one day this bumming will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all bummers are equal."
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Manchester, the sons of former bummers and the sons of former bummers owners will be able to bum together at the table of bumming.

Strange, I always thought Stockport was in Greater Manchester, not that Manchester was in Greater Stockport.

Although to be fair, a lot of Man Utd "fans" do seem to think that Old Trafford is in Greater London

redcafe.net For Reading players it is going to be their cup final of the season so no easy ride.
Quarter Final more like, We've got Arsenal and Chelsea comming up soon after.

redcafe.net They´ll use air a lot so Rio and Wes must be at their best and therefore
Use the air alot? - I don't think so, apart from Marcus hoofing it out of play and Bobby's precision passing.

Biggest games of the season are United and Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are way down the list.

The amount of talk/topics about the United game indicates it's Reading's cup final.

Don't flatter yourselves.

Our 'Cup Final' as you Man U fans would say - will probably be the game that guarantees our place in the premiership next season/or the game that secures a place in Europe......(ha ha)
