This threads got a fair amount of Nostradamus in it so I think it needs a quick update...

dean horrix legend (UEFA Cup) No, that is ten months away!

Nearly did!
roland* Massive financial changes aside, I cannot see any teams breaking the stranglehold the "big four" have on the 4 Champions League places on a regular basis.

pretty much predicted Man City takeover

Victor Meldrew My personal view is that we will stick around for 2 or 3 seasons and then crunch time. ...I will actually be glad to be alive in 10 years' time so if that is the case I'll revisit this topic then.

Pretty good. Are you still alive?

Rob-Royal I also believe we'll have at least 1 member of our current squad of players in the England squad within 12-18 months

Nicky Shorey..spot on.

From Despair To Where? think the key is if and when Madejski sells up, what direction the new owners take us in...The thought of mid table mediocrity year in, year out, even in the Premiership, fills me with dread.

Well it happened but it took 6 years. And we have avoided mid table mediocrity for the whole time, flirting with relegation and promotion sometimes in the same season!

4 years to go...and the 38,000 seater dream is back on!

However, I see no reason why we couldn't achieve a place in the UEFA cup at some point in the next 10 years.

i think thats realistic, though im hoping the UEFA rules will make it a fair league after 2014, though i cant see how the top 6 can achieve the UEFA rules in time

I imagine we will be in the 100,000 seater Zingarevich Zeplin Stadium somewhere over Reading.

At half time, Kingsley will lead the half time pizza delivery up to luckly row AAB.

Just before full time time 90,000 fans will leave early to get to their hover cars and spend 15 minutes queuing to reach the runway while those with hoverboard and jet packs are allowed out first.

Jesus Christ man, can you be any more ridiculous? That's such a stupid comment. No way in hell will we still have the half time pizza. That's just crazy talk.

Reading Abbey I would hope we would be filling a 38,000 capacity stadium, looking to redesign the hotel so we can build on the West Stand to go to 50,000 and flirting with Europe each season as a top 6 Premiership team.

I'd go along with that if it means an extra few family rooms in the hotel.

Preparing for the post-season play-offs, introduced after the US ownership level within the PL reached 50%

Also looking forward to Lionel Messi's Reading testimonial - testimonials re-introduced immediately after the departure of the now Lord Madjeski
