URZZ Pleased to know he has an excuse for being piss poor, on the other hand, I do hope to God that this doesn't mean he's going to have a season like he did when he first came to us.

not bad being piss poor and still assisting 3 goals

Convey may be a little lightweight but (IMHO) he is the best option when he on his game and fit, Hunt works hard and is a good player but Convey has that bit extra.

Mixed feelings about the story, pleased in a way that it may explain his average performances so far this season, not been too bad and has had some assists but you can't say he's been at his best.

If the club knew this it's a shame we didn't know before now and if Convey kept it quiet, although I understand he wants to play he hasn't done anyone any favours in the medium/long term by ignoring it and playing on.

Here's hoping for a fully fit, on-form Convey back ASAP.

I can't see Convey covering up his injury, not with all the tests that are performed on each player these days, especcially at pre season stage.

Like someone said, if it was a cup final tomorrow, would they play, and Convey was probably tinkering on the border.

I like to think this is good news, once he's fully fit he'll be flying, of that there is no doubt and Finchy boy can't wait. 8)

Can't see it Bobby unless you improve your general effort on the pitch. Hopefully Hunt's recents performances have reminded him of what is required.

So which part of "I've been injured all season" did you miss? Or in your mind does that not explain his lack of "general effort"? Do you not think that when fully fit he will return to his old self?

Personally I would still have a 90% fit Convey playing than a 100% fit Stephen Hunt. My reason is that all of Hunt's effort he just does not have the skill required to make a significant contribution to us scoring goals.

I agree that Hunt won't provide the goals, but Convey may now have been given a reminder that he needs to work a bit harder. In my opinion he got a bit complacent to the end of last year and also I don't believe his comments about his injury effecting him all season, as he probably wouldn't of played. Seems a bit convinient to make such comments after you've been left out.

He is a quality player but I'm not the only one who questions Convey's effort mate. I would say the same about Soel.

Yes, left out because he was injured. If he hadn't been injured he would still be in the team even if his form hadn't improved.

To the tune of Born Free:

Bobby,

The grass on the wing grows,

Faster than you go,

With your bad knee.....
