I enjoyed Seol's against Shambles the most. The scene, 30,000 bubble supporters, packed standing away end on a stormy Sunday afternoon, Pardew is in the dugout.

Quick freekick taken, Seol not seeming to be ready to receive the ball, me thinking WTF, but no Seol has other ideas, without giving the matter further consideration takes aim, pulls the trigger, shoots and scores.

Reading fans go nuts, outsing shambles and go home with content with joy in their hearts.

Well thats my recollection anyway :D

How you answer this I suppose depends on how you interpret "best goal"

My opinion, for sheer football, Lita v West brom

Thats why I think Lita scored "the best goal"
Great one touch build up and from B14 you could tell that was in the net the minute it left his foot.

Harper at Palace for me. Great team goal, after Murty won the ball back and played in Little and the celebrations were awesome. I ended up about 5 rows down from where I was stood. Great night for atmosphere as well, only about 1,500 Royals there but it sound like 3,000!
Please win tomorrow and then draw Crystal Palace away in the next round! 8)

only 5 rows? i ended up about 2 blocks away stood on the wall in front of the Palace, arms out stretched singing "That's why we're Champions!!!"

Best goal for loads of reasons, but you wait a lifetime to get a mentaller like that. It only earned us a point in the end but i can't recall another occasion with the entire Reading away end totally losing the plot like they did that night.

I was stood next to the wall segrgating us from the Palace fans anyway so didn't have to go far! The chorus of 'That's why we're champions' after the goal was classic, still makes me smile when seeing it again on the DVD.
There were quie a few good chants that night:
'Tracksuit from Matalan'
'Andy Johnson's fcuking sh1t' - after a missed chance
'Who the fcuk is Andy Johnson' - after we scored

I remember walking out of the ground singing 'We shall not be moved' as well. 8)

It was pretty cathartic. My mum was further along, in the home area (naturally enough, being a Palace fan!). She still spoke to me afterwards.

Belter! Anyone have a video of Lita's 2nd vs West Brom?

That was the best technically i think. Doyle vs Leicester or Murty vs Derby for enjoyment

I reckon Doyle's first at Wet Sham has to be a contender for goal of 2007... just cos of Shorey's immense run. Great team goal.

We are lucky to have seen so many goals worthy of the accolade.

I still believe Convey riding 2 tackles and running 60? metres before making a great finish should have been goal of the season in the last campaign but I've gone for Seol's at West Ham.....................technically as good as any of the others.
