In July/August, thing is we'll be playing every Friday night around then for league games and we're in the Intertoto Cup too which may postpone a few league games as Intertoto games are played on Saturday's.

I think the ex-cork lads will be well recevied, few City fans not happy though about comments Coppell made around the time Doyle was signed. Spotted him over a 'Guinness haze' or something along those lines didn't go down well!!

A bar full of the black stuff the day and night of the game, walk out the hangover on the golf course next day. Sounds like a plan

I'd like to do this trip and to also stop of for a pint or 5 at Doyle's families pub in Wexford.

Unless you rent a car, bus is the only option....about 2 hour drive I'd say

Forgive me my ignorance, but was the problem with the "guinness haze" comment.....? Surely just a lighthearted comment, no...?

Some see it that way (me included), others took offence.

I think if he'd made the same comment about Beamish, it might have gone down better (it usually does!)... Guinness is brewed in Dublin...

Tell the Cork fans with the chip of their shoulder to stop being so pathetic.

As I was scrolling down the thread the very thought entered my mind. Could be a nice jolly boys outing and one of this years holidays sorted.

Do you think they allow football supporters at Coopers?
Any suggestions on what hotel to choose as the 'Royals Hotel' in down-town Cork? Anyone know where the team are likely to be staying?

Ryanair fly out to Cork from Gatwick/Stansted. Be interesting to see how this fits into the plans if the Asia tour still goes ahead.

A couple of us went out to Ireland last summer and took a game in while we were over there - saw them play Drogheda. It's a tidy little ground, two seated stands, a South Bank style kop on the one side and a closed end (for redevelopment??). There's a road round the back of the ground called "Doyle Road" which is a good one for a pic!

Definitely recommend this one guys! Very friendly fans too!

(Who is) Joe Gamble plays for them as well
