higher Decidedly dodgy start tonight but our quality, fitness and work ethic ground down the serious relegation candidates that are Wigwam.Very difficult to pick out a star with another solid team effort (the main thing)to claim yet another 3 points.Ingi for me.Goal and usual steady CB showing.

strange thought the usually dependable inge had probably his worst game of the season.....but they he did have calamity joe (Bikey) next to him...i think Bikey is a better midfielder than defender (although his midfield role was against lower league opposition

Rich@Eaststand
ohagerup Hahnemann was solid.

If that was solid then we have big problems!

I'm afraid Marcus has started to worry me big time - Handling and distribution wasn't great again tonight and he makes far too many errors for my liking.

agreed not one of usa's best games.

Lita was excellent, but the diving is still pretty pathetic (although today, he only dived in the box - progress?).

I thought that Little was motm. Kept his position on the right, stretched Wigan and his final ball was always top class.

Harper played very well too - uncharacteristically aggressive. His first challenge where he left his foot in nicely set the tone for the rest of his game.

Sadly, I suspect they're being serious :?

How can Bikey, who had a bit of a mare, get the same number of votes as Hunt, who had yet another good game?

However, I agree with AP; Lita was MoM by a distance...............the million quid JM dumped in the Bristol City boardroom now looks like money well spent.

I think fundamentalling a lot of people in this forum do not understand keeping at all. Hahnemann had 11 saves today. He faced 23 shots, 14 of which were on goal, and he leads the premiership in saves. He was not the best player, but he was pretty good today.

Andy Johnson was sold for near £9m and most of his Premiership goals were penalties.

Step forward Kevin Doyle and Leroy Lita, who's value must be at around £10m each, Shirley?

He made a couple of very good stops. He had a lot of shots that were straight at him, routine saves for a keeper. His handling was dodgy, the ball bobbling around all over the place - I guess dropping the ball counts as a save?

His distribution wasn't great - Kicking all over the place, throwing was better but he threw it straight to Wigan on at least two occasions.

The first goal went in on the near post and he was no where near it and the 2nd goal, well I'm not sure what was going on.

Lita - I have never voted for him ever in a MoTM. Last night was the best I have ever seen him play and he thoroughly deserved his goal at the end. I have always been convinced of his predatory instincts in the box but concerned about his work rate and general play. Oh, and not forgetting his ability to consistently fall over all the time. Well, last night I thought he was a revelation. I have never seen him work so hard, his general link up play was excellent, he worked the channels and pulled their back 4 all over the place. Apart from one blatant dive for a pen he even cut that side out of his game - really great performance.

Honourable mentions for;

Ingi - played really well, especially alongside Bikey
Little - so creative, a joy to watch
Murty - a rock in the back 4
Shorey - he's just, well........Shorey
Sidwell - he really is after goals. He made an incredible amount of runs into the box, a great engine as they say. He will go on a scoring run soon

Upper West?!?
while Hunt didn't excel forwards, particularly being unprecise.

What does the guy have to do to impress you? He showed very good touch and control today, not least of which was the chest control and pass to Long for Long's goal.

He has impressed me in previous games. Not today.

Lita for me, easily the best player on the park.

Agreed.

I thought that Sidwell went AWOL last night, one of his worst games in a Reading shirt. Big move blocked maybe....................?

Lita for me - probably his best game in the prem for us - he put himself about, ran around all night, wound up the opposition, chased lost causes and generally put in the kind of performance not always associated with him.

Honourable mentions must got to Murty, Little and Long as well.

Lita for me as well; he has really upped his work rate, created our first goal as well as scoring the third.

Long, Little and Murts were also impressive last night.

That was Lita's best game in a Reading shirt - and his first half performance was an absolute joy to watch - his first touch was excellent throughout and his decision-making was excellent.

I am officially bored of Leroy Lita.

Lita and Little were the best two players for us last night. I've voted for Little because he's my favourite player and also because i'm a bit racist, but fair play to Lita who I thought produced one his more complete performances as a Reading striker.

Little's crossing was really impressive in the second half last night and his wing play is at times sublime.

Pretty much what has been said - Lita was excellent last night, have not seen him show that sort of work rate before and got the goal he deserved, I think he'll score a few more in the coming weeks if he carries on like this. Defo man of the match.

Can't see many mentions of Long but thought he did brilliantly whilst he was on, he's improved no end since he's been with us. Little and Murty down the right gave a constant outlet and defended well and I thought Hunt, bar the first fifteen minutes, had a good game, ran his socks off.

Right, I'm out of cliches for now. Here's hoping Leroy can continue with that sort of form.

I voted for Long - reckoned he had his best game in a Reading shirt last night - surprised he hasn't picked up a few more votes on here!
