Steve Coppell strikes me as a manager who speaks out when he has something worth being heard unlike Mouriniho who never shuts up.

Personally, the Manager I would give the award to is............

(If they get into the UEFA Cup)

Harry Redknapp.

Last season, they were dead and buried; after surviving, this season Pompey were high on the list of teams that may well be involved in the relegation battle.

He has an even smaller home gate average than us, and had the cojones to take a punt on players like David James, Sol Campbell, Lauren and Kanu, when no other Prem manager wanted to touch them with the proverbial - and got them working fantastically well as part of a tight hard working team.

Players like Mendes, Linvoy and Matt Taylor have been superb (and in the latter case, shamefully overlooked by McClaren) and for Harry to take Pompey from relegation fodder to knocking on the door of European football has been brilliant.

You put a good case. If we make Europe Coppell deserves it - if they do then Maybe 'Arry does. They have been great this year - and they have beaten Manure and Liverpool - something we have failed to do...

Jerry St Clair Obviously, though, the manager of whichever team wins the championship will get manager of the year.

Tediously predictable.

Steve Bruce or Roy Keane?
