Some might say this is interesting.

I have made it my solemn duty to find out the result of every Reading match on the day they were played. My mission has been accomplished.

I could be the winner of all if I did attend Reading game when I and my wife did fly in to England for an holiday last September.
It would be something around 10.000kilo from Tokyo to Reading.

Knowing I have no chance to attend Reading match then because
- I did not have Membership card and no Royality Point
- Fixture was Red Devil visiting Madejski Stadium
- we simply don't have tickets
therefore, we went see other league match at Anfield. Witnessed Xabi Alonso's goal from half way line against Toon army in the stand. We arrived at Stansted airport 11 in the morning and drove up to north to catch the match in same evening. I got a feeling that driving up and down the England might not be too exciting as sceanary is more less same and won't change much on Motorway. You got be real Loyal Royal to do so to follow many away matches.
So, I hugely respect all guys here.

On the 23rd September, I was in Slough in the lunch time, and we wanted to head to Junction 11, but we headed other direction to see other English Stars ..... in the ring!

Now tally up how much you've spent and tell us if it was worth it....

Don't need to tally it up. Already know that it was worth it.

Realistically, it's probably cost a die hard Reading fan the best part of 3 grand..

Is that really worth it? Could the money be better spent elsewhere?

Just wondering...

My point exactly.

Sport may be entertaining but following it all up and down the country seems a bit pointless - no doubt you'll be moaning about the tax raises etc etc - so spend less!

I too did all 38 league games.

Only games I missed all season were Liverpool and United cup games.

Missed 5 home games due to work. At 440 miles each trip, that's 8360 miles. Add to that 9 away games 3960, totals 12320.
This is why I can't renew next season. My poor car is an 02 model and already has 60,000+ on the clock due to the last two seasons.
I'm settling for a handful of home games and the midland/northern away games next season. More so if we do move back to Reading by the end of the year.

I'm banking on us not selling out every week when the capacity increases to 30,000. Then I may get my season ticket back when I move home.

1871 Royal There and back I did 5,465.8 miles. This figure was taken from my house in Tadley. Pretty impressive I feel.

I made just the first home game, total distance fron USA and back approx 6,300 miles per game - Am I the greatest fan ever?

I watched most of the games in my local pub which is about 250 yards from my house.

I'm no mathmetician but I would fully expect the distance travelled to be several miles.

I made every home league game
went to villa, and man u away
home vs darlington in the lge cup
home vs burnley (x 2 as 1 cancelled) in the fa cup
home Vs man U in the fa cup
+ three reserve games(west ham, arsenal, chelsea) +the national reserve league final vs bolton
+ preseason game vs feyenoord

not as far, or as expensive as most of you lot, quite modest really
so im still probably considered as moderately plastic

but who cares, im pretty happy with my tally
