meeky_no9 We had Plymouth at home on first day and QPR last day in our record breaking season

In the Championship yes - not sure you can have it in the Premiership.

West Stand Flash Home game Opening Day, Boxing Day & Last day of season please...

Don't think it's possible to be home for the first and last games on the season.

Why not?

The Sheffield United case will force the delay of the start of the season by two weeks.

That I will not miss the first 3 games of the season while I'm on holiday :?

I'm on hols in Northumbria the last week of August, so away to Newcastle, Boro or Sunderland on 1st September would be brilliant.

Forgot to mention wanting the Portsmouth away game not to be on a cold, wet day in January.

Derby programme:

"When the fixture list came out and we saw that we had Reading at home for the first game of the season, we realised what a big step up we had made."

Edit to see that someone made the same joke much earlier!

Home for boxing day would be nice. Any midweek aways in London.

There is no way to realistically predict the opposition, but I think it will go:

11/12 Aug - Away
14/15 Aug - Home
18/19 Aug - Home
25/26 Aug - Away (Reading Festival)

We will be away first due to the dates. As I've mentioned before and so has Uncle Andy above, we always ask to be away over festival weekend on the request of the TVP.

In order for us to be away that weekend we have to be away first game.

Pick any other team from the Premiership, then choose home or away.

Easy.

I'll go for Fulham (A) followed by Spurs (H)

I can confirm (a sauce of mine has told me) that we will start with an away game to a team we beat last season, and end with a home game.
