Once were Biscuitmen The fat old guy with the hilariously bad ponytail who rather disconcertingly hangs around with his own gang of chav teenage boys the whole time.

King Barry. Definitely wins in the wierd/bordering on the paedophilia category.

I remember a strange old chap on the South Bank who would buy a burger from the stall behind the stand put it in a bag and take it home with him for his tea. He never said a word during the 90 minutes. I think he's dead now, probably food poisining got him in the end.

Spacey is the winner in this category and we certainly have no need of a poll to prove it.

Agree with Black, also the Newcastle fan? that can be found at most of our away games. Bumped into him post Villa away when he was laughing at Sunderland losing again

Modesty is just yet another redeeming feature of RFC's number one fan.

Is that the same Geordie lad at Old Trafford, who, after a big chorus of "we support our local team" then stood up and sang it again solo for perfect comic irony?

Priceless.

Readingfanman Whoever has the most Royalty points is obv the best fan ever as they have been to the most games.

Sadly, not true.

In the days when we went to games home and away in the 70's, 80's and early 90's no-one had even dreamt of Royalty points.

I haven't been able to see more than a few games a season in the last 10 years, but I still reckon I've seen more games than most of the current fans (obviously not Blacky, but then he is an Oxford supporter, after all).

By the way, on the subject of Paul Black, has everyone heard the story of the coat. He has had the same type of coat for as long as anyone can remember. An old version of it was held together with all sorts, then he was at a game (Hereford, I think), saw someone wearing the same type of coat and offered to buy it on the spot. Bloke said yes, and the rest is history.

Yes he does, up behind me and to my left. Must be something like Y22 F 146 or nearby. Saw him in Aldermaston the other day without "The Coat"

That can't be right. Blacky would always be in that coat. He even turned up to some of the local and natioanl quiz nights in it - even on the hottest of days. Are you sure it was him ??

I agree, the royalty points has been in effect for only 3 or 4 years so far. A lot of Reading fans have been around much longer than that.

Aaaagh !! I need a holiday. Spacey's agreed with a post of mine.

I suppose it had to happen - law of averages, and all that.
