Stooper
Katie Marsden When we lost 3-1 to Swindon in October 2001. That was terrible performance.

Remember that game well.

I had a massive verbal at FT with a certain floyd_streete who was calling for Pardew's head, which I disagreed with.

Most of Y25 left after with 10 minutes to go but came running back up when Reading got one back....and sang Pardew's praises 6 months later.

I was calling for Pardew's head as the third went in. Who'd have thought about 15 games later we would be 10 points clear. The standard of the league was so poor that year it was criminal we never won the title or even gained automatic promotion. Pardew has to be the most over rated manager in the game today.

Vision Beating West Ham on Pardew's return would be right up there amongst the best for me.

Or tonking West Ham 6-0!

My favourite game was 3-1 against West Ham when Kitson scored his hattrick.

That's it - Swansea. We were on a sequence of scoring one more goal each home game, it's gone something like 1-0, 2-0, 3-3, 4-0, 5-1, then the Swansea game broke it as we 'only' scored 5 on them.

Typical reading fans. Turn a thread into best game to one about worst game.

Wigan play off for me.

Followed by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers

I prefered the 3-3 with Bournemouth from the first season at Madejski. First 'proper' game at the Madejski IMO.

no ones mentioned QPR last game of the championship winning season, Murty scores the winner with his first goal in 5 years and we get the record points total and we lift the trohpy.

That would be the one where Darren Caskey actually ran onto a through ball to score the first goal, right? And Mass Sarr played well in that game too? And Stein was reviled for his diving, wasn't he?

Yep that's the one. Stein was a complete disgrace that day.

Stooper in 'I Wasn't There' shocker

Given that we hadn't won the title by the time we played Derby, it would have been a bit premature to present it.

Forgive me for not being a football fan anymore.

I just saw the celebrations in the papers and assumed it was the same day.

I was however at one of the most cringeworthy mometns at the MadStad....BRING IT ON!

Although, it could have been on site for presentation when we got the inevitable win...

Sure, the people were on the pitch and the players were in the balcony of the upper west. Did you see the trophy there?

That'll be the 4-0 win over Norwich.

the home games against Sheff Utd have always been quite entertaining, some for the wrong reasons! Its always nice to put one over Warnock aswell, but the games itself have been good to watch.

I thought I made it pretty clear I'm not a football fan any longer. I missed one home game from 1994-2002.

All I saw in the paper was lots of celebrations about the title. I wasn't looking for the trophy, and don't follow Reading, thereby not knowing what day they were presented it.

My sincerest apologies, I shall slay a Frenchman in your honour.
