Wigan (h) - 3
Portsmouth (a) - 0
Derby (h) - 3
Blackburn (a) - 1
Newcastle (h) - 3
Fulham (a) - 1
Arsenal (h) - 0
City (a) -1
Boro (h) - 3
Liverpool (h) - 1
Brum (a) - 1
Sunderland (h) - 3
West Ham (a) - 1
Spurs (a) - 0
Pompey (H) - 1

That would be 22 points
Leave us with 26 points for January.
If we were to lose some of the points from draws, let's say 4 games then we's still have 22 points in total. 5 less than last season.
Even if we score 5 points less in each half of the season we would end on 44 points - enough, I think, to avoid relegation. At this point in time I would be happy to have a mediocre season, for once.

Osama Bin Laden is an Arsenal fan, btw. They even went to the effort of banning him from Highbury after 9/11.

Personally as long as we have 3 teams below us in the table at the end of the season I couldn't care less how many points we get by January.

At the end of the day we are not a bad squad as our first 3 performances this season has shown, things don't just suddenly disappear overnight and the issues we have currently are caused, mainly, by a standard cr*p spell that happens during a season.

The only mistake I can see so far is the failure to acquire a proper right winger in the summer which is something that surprised me as I thought we'd have that covered.

If we get 6 points from the next 3 games then we should be on a more sound footing on which to build - whatever happens SC has probably learned more about the current squad in the last 3/4 games than he has about it for quite a while.

I always love these threads. If the team is doing well people always over estimate where we will be, doing badly and they give us a minimal amount of points.

It really is a bit pointless trying to look at this match by match as there are always strange results - both good and bad.

Last year we were 8 won 3 drawn and 10 lost after 21 games and I honestly believe we can get close to that again - which would be comfortable mid table

BUT although I am positive - it is essential in my opinion that we do beat both Wigan and Derby at home to restore confidence.
