Those highlights were rubbish! Didn't even show West Ham hitting the angle of the woodwork.

Compo's Hat Two footed tackle = red card AND Yet GETTING THE BALL

Simple as that, no excuses!
football is f3cking becoming a ponces game.

Two footed tackles used to be the norm at Elm Park and Rabsons Rec. once upon a time not so long ago.

Sod the shots on target and pressure we had in the first half, Solano's shit free kick was surely worth more of a watch...

Match Of The Day are about as big an embarassment as Lineker's obsession with preying on young women.

willz_royal nah

it isnt a red

are we last then?

doesnt last get a few more seconds than most?

For the same reason that last weeks goal WAS a goal, the red card against Sham WAS a red card... Because the ref said so.

B. Clough RIP

I thought Convey's early chance yesterday was the closest either came to scoring until Solano managed it but no coverage.

Got lots of the Portsmouth v Arsenal borefest though.

And we're last game! Told you to put your house on it

Agreed, no question it was a red and Coppell agreed. Obvious it was going to be the last game as it was a mid table game. To be honest MOD's coverage of Royals is pretty poor and all Shearer is interested in is how poor the NE teams are doing.

Anyone who only saw the MOTD highlights would think we got battered yesterday and were lucky to escape with a draw!

Is the highlights editor a Hammers fan perchance?

Hunt tried to push Parker into Green as they were running for the ball, hence the collision

That's exactly what I thought. I'm dissappointed with MOTD.

Hunt did look like he intended to push Parker, had his hand on his shirt, but never actually made a physical effort to push him as the two clowns managed to acheive his aim themselves....

That bastard Parker did a few of our guys and deserved anything he got, I also strongly disapprove of Ljungberg trodding on Murty's ankle.

Both went for the ball, Murty came out of it worse. Ljungberg did nothing wrong.

Is there an online set of highlights?

I've just assured a colleague that there'll be some on bbc i-player but this seems to be incorrect.

BBC seem to have a marked leaning towards WHU, they even get mentions on East Enders. What happened to Walford Utd? LOL

It was Walford Wanderers IIRC

Although going off topic, it is perfectly feasible that a few blokes living in a (fictional) East End town might support West Ham. And I thought it was Walford Town Football Club.

I know, I was simply answering the question of why Green was getting the cob on. He saw him trying to push Parker into him rather than him trying to get out of the way

Agree totally. Where were our 10 shots on target!?!?!

And Gunnars challenge was interesting. It was not a tackle situation, it was a 50:50 ball that two players were converging on. Gunnar actually got to the ball first by some distance (well a foot anyway). It was unfortunate that he was in the air with both feet off the ground. The Sham player wasn't exactly shirking either. So in my opinion a red was a bt harsh, but understandable.
