Does seem promising. Hopefully he performs well in training. Having the experience he has in Champs League can't be a bad thing.

Platypuss
Alan Partridge he looks enormous!! anyone got any stats?

6ft 2 and a smidge - not that big.

That it? On the vids he just looks a quite awesome figure whith his height and physique.

Also noticed he was captain in a lot of those clips which is a good sign that he talks a lot and is well respected. He looks good in the vid, more than good! :D

If only we still had Darius Wydchek (rubbish spelling I know) then his speaking skills would be worthwhile

Platypuss Any idea why he left Spartak?

Lost his place to Stipe Pletikosa, who is the Croatian Number 1. I suspect with Euro 2008 coming up, he wants to cement his place in squad where the competition for goalkeeping is superb (Boruc, Dudek, Fabianski, Kusczack, Bialkowkski)

Who knows he might speak fluent English? I've never heard of him in all honesty, but that's a pretty good pedigree to me, Polish international played Champions League, 30 is a good age for a keeper (probably prime). On a free? Sounds good.

All I've seen of him is that clip and he looks a commanding keeper with a presence about him.

PlasticRoyale Coppell is signing players with difficult names to spell purely as a means to get back at the HNA? keyboard warriors

I thought he was having a Squad Scrabble game with one of the other managers.

Steve Coppell Udochuko Nwokuko. LOLZ

Roy Keane How many points do I get for Steve Hunt?

Expect a bid for Panathanaikos midfielder Ezequiel Gonzalez sooner rather than later. That triple word score has opened up.

U.S.A, U.S.A??? :?

He certainly looks like a good keeper, as much as I like Hahnemann, Kowalewski has more experience ata higher level and is younger.

He looks completely psychotic in that video - guess it's not a bad characteristic in a keeper. Wonder whether his head was always that shape?

Cut and pasted from Wikipedia, just in case you were to lazy to look!

Kowalewski made his top-flight debut with Wigry Suwałki during the 1996/97 season, but it was not until 2001/02, after a loan spell with second division side Dyskobolia Grodzisk, that he finally established himself with Legia.

Midway through the season he moved to FC Shakhtar Donetsk and only conceded once in nine league games as Shakhtar stormed to the Ukrainian title for the first time.

In 2003 he moved to Spartak Moscow where he played for several years as first-choice keeper, even serving as vice-captain. In late 2007, having lost his place to Stipe Pletikosa, he requested to leave the club. In December 2007 Spartak agreed to terminate his contract.

TBH you could have Cech in goal for us at the moment and it won't change much.

Priority is without doubt CB and CM. Marek has been signed but he won't be playing until possibly Feb until he can get a game in the reserves first.

Good to see players having trials but I don't think a new keeper will give us the lift we need. Hahnneman has his faults but over all he is a good/ average keeper not a bad one.

If he's free, then this is a no-loss move.

An extra keeper puts more pressure on Hahnemann and A Fed, while he'll want to impress to get that thrid keeper spot in Euro 2008.

A short-term contract and see where we are in the summer deal makes a lot of sense, if you ask me.

Another overseas player for what is rapidly becoming a United Nations of Reading, and together with our more recent top class acquisitions, we are begining to have the look of a far more than useful Championship side next season.

It's Kov-a-lev-ski RG30 with the stress on the second to last syllable.

I think he looks like a fascist...

Other information about him - his nickname seems to be gibbon. The Youtube comments seem to suggest that Poles really rate him as a goalie but he has really tough competition ahead of him...

No info about Kowalewski's trial on the main Polish newspaper website http://www.gazeta.pl...

If you need me to find out anything more about him - just ask...

Why Short Term? If he is a quality keeper & Marcus is 37 years old, we would sign him to a longer deal. Federici is still young & Stack will be gone in the Summer.

Short Term deal for who could be a quality keeper would be ludicrous...?

Kowalewski was also offered a contract by Korona Kielce yesterday but hasn't signed because of other offers from clubs.
