--------------Marcus

Rosenior Ingimarsson Bikey Shorey

Doyle Marek Harper Hunt

------ ---Kitson Long

Oster did well in the 2nd half yesterday but Doyle is far better defensively and showed when he set up Longs goal that he can deliver a decent ball.

This would be tough on Oster but I think we'll need Kitson in our highly favoured 4-4-2 to have a chance of not coming home empty handed.

I think you are right. Unlike the perennial Oster-bashers on here I thought he did OK on the weekend, but he might have to give way. If not then the biggest problem is who to play up front. They've all got a valid shout.

Same team but Kitson in because they have got great headers of the ball in Hyppia and Carreghar , although we cant have him upfront on his own he flicks it onto nobody then.

Maybe that's a good reason NOT to have Kitson in then - play it along the floor!

it'll be same again bar any spanish brawls involving oster that ll see him get dropped (wishful thinking)

otherwise i would go same team with kitson in for oster and doyle pushed out right. If he cant score next best thing is to assist

Same team.

To bring in Cisse for Ingi as someone suggested would be madness. Utter madness...

Let's go for it and see what happens. Bikey would be on Torres of course. Sounds quite scary but Torres is just so good.

I really hope Liverpool are pushed on tuesday...

Greater than sticking 5 past Cardiff home and away?

I think not.

Tinrib It'll be interesting to see what side the Scousers put out, given their CL match at Inter a few days before our game.

The Italians will give it a real go, I'm sure, and for Liverpool its the only thing left for them to win this season. (Apart from 4th place)

Now I'm not suggesting that our Italian friends will be heavy handed with Torres, Gerrard et al...But you wouldn't put it past them...

Yes but our lads have the strain of sangria and all that relaxation to put up with which they are not used to and by the time they get back to Reading Liverpool will already have returned to Merseyside after a good work out in Italy and a Thursday and Friday of preparation for the mighty Royals.
Let's hope none of ours get injured splashing about in the sea.

Same starting 11. It gives us the most pace up front on the break, which is our best chance of attacking without overcomitting defensively. Kitson will be more dangerous coming on later in the game when legs are tiring. Reading have nothing to lose. Hopefully Rafa will tinker what with Inter before and a hard run of games straight after Reading.

If only...However, in true 'victims of our own success' style, I can't see him taking the risk of being caught out like he did at the Mad Stad again. Best case scenario is LFC are taken to E-T and pens, but Rafa's too wary of what happened earlier in the season to rest too many of his tired first-teamers. Late 1-0 win to us ensues, Doyler's turn to be the hero.

(I think that post just turned into a Monday afternoon daydream...)

Chuckle Brother Same team but different formation. Doyle to play right side with Oster as an extra centre mid.

And Bikey to rough up Torres for 90 minutes.

Spot on. If there is space plenty of hard running midfielders to fill it.

GK: Hahnemann

RB: Rosenior
CB: Bikey
CB: Ingimarsson (c)
LB: Shorey

RM: Oster
CM: Harper
CM: Matejovsky
LM: Hunt

ST: Doyle
ST: Long

Substitutes:
Kitson
Sonko
Kebe
Federici
Cisse

In an ideal world, Little would be able to replace Oster and we'd have another Striker.
We'll wait until the 08/09 season.

It will be the same side that plays against the reds on saturday.

At least with a 4-4-2 at anfield it shows that we are willing to attack the game compared to last season when i think we played a 5-4-1 and tried to settle for a point before the game had even started
