Royalee Paul Brooker wasn't even as good as Scott Murray, and Morgan and Owusu aren't fit to lace Curo's boots.

I see AP has sneaked in with a similar post to mine as I was typing it up but I'll post it anyway.

Curo was gone before Coppell joined the club so a completely irrelevant comparison. For every morgan and Owusu, I'll give you a Savage and an Alex Smith from the Pardew era. Having seen his predecessor spunk the bulk of the the transfer budget on Murray and Goater, he made a number of stopgap signings to flesh out the squad (none of them stars but all making a valuable contribution at some point) whilst making the occasional shrewd long term signing to build for the future. You look at the impact players from our title season, Little, Convey, Doyle, Kitson, Lita, the dominant centre back pairing of Sonko and Ingimarsson. All Coppell signings. Only 4 of Pardew's signings made a significant contribution. What he did in those two preceding seasons, and what he has to do now, is shed the dead wood, build on what is already good in the squad and supplement it with talent that can make an impact and take us to the next level, Matejovsky being the obvious starting point but Bikey, Rosenior and Cisse as well and, with a bit of patience possibly even Fae.

Coppelled Streets Great great season. So many happy memories. Long 4 hour drives down, watch the footy, an hour stuck in the car park then 4 hours home again and all with a smile on my face, slapping my leg and singing along to any crap song on the radio after 606 or Talksport.

On my way back from Leicester it was good old Elvis being pumped out at high volume and me yelling along to it. Magic days!
And to be honest, they still are.

Terrific manager, and we've all got our thoughts on is it Coppell not wanting to spend or is it the chairman not wanting to spend, but we have a great manager here at Reading and I'll be devasted when the day comes that he decides to leave.

Royalee, I too questioned where we were heading that season. Some questionable signings perhaps, some funny tactics along the way, but everything just clicked and that team gelled, and when they did they turned into the best team to ever grace the Championship!

If there's a supporter that still feels Coppell hasn't done enough, get your coat and sod off. He has more than proven himself to be a dam good manager and an even better top flight manager.

Many doubted him after his short time at Man City, but he has more than proved the doubters wrong.

A genuine Reading legend!

A few weeks ago Jay, i questioned you about you negativity at Coppell and Madejski. I'm glad you've pulled through and now back to how i remember what you were like. This is the Jay... Coppelled Streets we all knew and loved.. well maybe not loved!

Good on you for being back such great memories, and long may King Coppell reign!

Stand up for Steve Coppell!!

There are plenty of people here that will have made these into curtains... ...trust me.

A symbol of the Balding Guy, he looks a bit in pain tho on that flag, I guess it's not usual for him to be opening his mouth. After all, Merek confirmed that on his recent press release how he's not too good on the training ground these days.

When are you going to give it a rest?
Unless you have apoint to contribute(not just the one point repeated endlessly)
Mostly id prefer it if you just went away,
Mad crap spouting urchin that you are.
Ive just about had enough of you,
No more of this rubbish i say!
Go away, and do not return.
This has gone far enough
Rambling and moaning your incomprehensible torrent of drivel.
Of all the boards you could have chosen to frequent you had to choose ours
Lots of people express negative opinions,no one as daftly as you do though.
Like it alot if you shushed.

I get annoyed with some of his loyalty issues, but I've always been right behind Coppell. It's the Championship Chairman that I feel is holding us back. But again, others believe it's Coppell's reluctance to spend, where as I believe Coppell would love the chance to spend but the money just isn't there. Ambition not matched with £££'s, just Madejski's jibba jabba.

They did the jobs they were intended to on the most part. Consolidate so we could push on at a later stage. No one is saying every signing was perfect. But Owusu whilst never meant to take us to th enext level did a good job in his time. Morgan offered a low risk high potential gain that gave us some depth as well.

You are a clueless twit who won't admit when you've made yourself look a fool and over react at every possible opportunity.

You could even draw parrallels with Coppell not taking us forward then, with the way we are going now. But that doesn't stop a hard season in the prem being the end of life as we know it because we don't challenge for Europe.

brendywendy This has gone far enough

You want to censor people? Set your own message board up.

Simple really. Until then, stop telling people what to do.

Despite your rants, this is still a country of free speech. (Ha!)

Just because others have different views to your own, it does not disqualify them from stating their views, nor does it mean they are necessarily wrong. They may be boring, single-interest views, however, they are views.

If you do not like this situation, may I respectfully suggest YOU disappear to a far off MB somewhere where all is liberal, pink and fluffy. This is a MB that is active, irreverant, (and sometimes irrelevant!), and all the more enjoyable, (in my mind), for its vastly diverse range of opinions and views. What I find objectionable is the small minded minority who feel they have a God-given right to stifle the expression of independent opinion. You are no more than a playground bully or Labour policitican (sic), and as such you are to be pitied.

Thank you and goodnight.

Sometimes people are just on here to get a rise out of people, by posting drivel.
