[quote="Thou Voice"]...now this was was interesting, every time I've encountered Birmingham FANS I felt what a bunch of idiots and today was no exception. Walking towards my area, me and the family passed a whole gang of them (about 20 or so) singing about what oxf*rd they thought Reading FANS were and trying to get a rise out of them. Fortunately as us southerners are not on income support like the people from Birmingham we managed to hold our composure. Although there was one Reading FAN by us who I'd have enjoyed seeing them wade in, he was huge and would have probably ripped there heads off.

When did fans becomes FANS? Are supporters now "SUPPORTERS" and hooligans "HOOLIGANS"?

Gordons Cumming Doyle has stayed in the team because he is a battler, holds the ball up well and selflessly brings other people into the game....................unlike Lita.

HTH

I really wanted Doyle to score today. Shame that he didn't. Anyway there's always next week. He got two against Blackburn in November and one against them last year. Time to break the duck I feel...

Mr Platypuss, I do not consider myself a Fisherman, I consider myself somebody who is asking the questions that people need answered or somebody that is prepared to stand upoooon the Red and White turrets of HNA and speak for the unspoken people.

Thou Voice ...now this was was interesting, every time I've encountered Birmingham FANS I felt what a bunch of idiots and today was no exception.

Onto the game...

...usually I will complain about the Balding Guy when he faaaaails to deliver and today I thought was going to be no better when he said the following on RFC website, "I made changes at Middlesbrough, it had the effect of two wins and a loss, so maybe a couple more changes would have the same effect.", it was clear that he had no real idea that Liverpool are actually a big team and it was really odds on that we would lost against them so I was dreading whatever he'd drawn up on a fag packet today to present us with.

Fortunately we won through. From where I was sitting Oster had a good game, regardless of what some of you fools think about him.

Doyle was just as useless as ever, I mean come on, our strikers can't score and yet the Balding Guy continues to field them. What does it take for a change to happen here? The sensible thing should be done and recall Lita. Doyle is too short (and slow) for the long ball game we play, so why the hell do we continue to use this waste of space.

Bikey was a worry for me, I have him 10/10 for style on his cartwheels but was dreading that he was actually going to hurt himself, absolutely man of the match.

I feel watching our display today, there is no why that Murty should be given a place ever back on the team. He was banging on the glass when the second goal went in as the cameras showed him. I think that it was purely out of despair that we now have defenders who can score as out strikers are useless and he may have realised he's lost his place.

I have to say that today it was also a pleasure to have my fans behave themselves around me for that match. This was much more enjoyable

Tally hoooo brothers.

Right, ok, you were amusing at first, but now you're irritating, like you were when you were SDR. You're going on the foes list now.

That is very definitely the fisherman. A fish can bite the lure and not be hooked, and in doing so protects less wise fish.

Ah, the voice of the silent majority, just as long as they're not horrible little plebs who sit too close to you on match day and make you feel uncomfortable?

Funny thing about the silent majority, they're usually have absolutely nothing to say and you are representing their views most adequately

Thou Voice From where I was sitting Oster had a good game, regardless of what some of you fools think about him.

You were at The Reebok Stadium then where you .... because you couldn't have been at the Mad Stad!

In the first 2 minutes he actually passed the ball forwards twice .... I nearly had a heart attack, and was thinking that perhaps at last we were going to see "the real" Oster, rather than hte impOSTER we've been treated to for hte last 2 years. Luckily for my heart, but sadly unluckily for RFC, he soon reverted to type. Shrinking from challenges, generally looking like a fish out of water, positional sense of a blind one-legged urang-utan, and to cap it all he missed an open goal.

Various papers today gave him 4 or 5 out of 10, which made him, once again, our worst, or equal worst player on the pitch. Unfortunately it's not just me with my irrational hatred of the git that thinks he's shite. His Welsh team manager and the collected great and good of the media have a similar opinion.

I supposed there's no point in me just reminding you that, once again, he was the first RFC player to be subbed yesterday? No, though not.

Still, only another 7 games to go. Although judging by Sir Steve's rhetoric, I'm sure the impOSTER will be handed another 2 or 3 year contract at the end of the season in recognition of his wonderful contribution to RFC over the last few seasons. Just hope they arfe as charatable to Glen Little.

Plank.

The Doyler was magnificent yesterday - as was Kits. In the absence of goals a manager will ask of few things from his strikers: work rate and continuing to make those runs and get into those positions inside the box.

Matejovsky gave away the ball as much as Oster did, yet they both made good contributions to the game. Without them, our only attacking impetus would have been long balls lumped forward or Hunt's driving, although sometimes aimless, runs forward. At the moment, we need Oster and Matejovsky on the field trying different things, otherwise we'd be totaly one dimensional.

Disagree completely, i only counted 2 occasions where Marek lost the ball and at the moment i think pace and skill on the right is needed more than frustrating inconsistency from oster

yeah cos those newspaper scores are a good way of judging a players performance-i have seen ivar, marek, harps, rosenior all given 5s in various papers

dont mean they were actually 5s though

oster had a good game-getting better each time he plays-still not brilliant, but set up another goal, and did some good stuff amongst the dross
