I am REALLY trying hard to stay positive, but I just don't see enough "steel/will to win" coming from within the club.

Bolton, who lets face it had the keys to the "last chance saloon" only 8 days ago, have shown real balls, whereas our players seem so edgy.

Alan Partridge
That Friday Feeling
Coppelled Streets Next weekend is huge for us. We win and Bolton/Birmingham lose and with two games to go we look a good bet for survival, lose and we're all but doomed.

Will we go away and win though? I don't think we will and I don't think we will at Derby either.

It looks bleak.

Don't do anything silly Jay.

Even if he did he'd probably muck it up again

SymonsO goto http://www.betfair.com

goto english football
premier league
relegation

And you'll see Bolton are still more likely to go down.

Thankyou.

Oh ok, 1 set of bookies said it. I stand corrected.

Go to: BBC Sport
Premiership Table

And I think you'll see Reading are more likely to go down.

Beelzebub Todays line up was a bit of an experiment IMO, by the second half, we were not that bad, and could take points against Any or even all 3 of our remaining opponents, the same can not be said of Bolton, they have Chelsea remember!

And who expected us to take a point off them at Stamford Bridge last season!

Meantime, by all reports Derby gave West Ham a bit of a fright today. Can anyone really be confident of taking three points off them in the last game of the season. Even if we take the lead, Coppell will no doubt blow it by trying to defend 1-0 for 80 minutes!!

In a way it might be good for us if Brum get the draw tomorrow. Fall into the bottom 3 and get the realisation to hit that we need to pull it round and can't rely on others.

If Brum lose I can see us with the same "we'll work something out" attitude next game and lose again, by which time it'll be pretty much too late to do anything about it.

Daniella Just watched the scene's of peteroborugh walking round the pitch with the sky sports script saying " peterborough are promoted", loads of shots of their players dancing and hugging, etc
Hold that thought.

Bolton win today and we are being sucked out of the premiership, we are now favourites for that 3rd place.

I can see a similar images at derby away on the last day. Steve coppell walking round the pitch murty on his knees shirt over his head with the sky sports title saying " reading are relegated from the premiership".

I could just as easily read. . .

Royals defy the drop with last minute strike from Harper.

take no notice RM

insults like that have become a generic thing on here over the last few (successful) seasons.

Its the widespread net that the Premiership casts I'm afraid.

No doubt Sky will cover all the key battles on the last day and it would be sweet to see a rerun of that post-match celebration at Leicester, with Coppell throwing some garment into the crowd.

You might be right of course but whatever does happen on the last day of the season you will still be the biggest turd on this board. In a time of uncertainty it is good to know that some things will carry on regardless.

tbh, I'm pretty much resigned to us being relegated. I just can't see where the points are coming from to keep us up.

Bolton only need to match our points haul and Brum just need to get one more than us and I can see those two things happening.

But if we do, at least we'll get the chance to rebuild. You just can't do that in the Premier League without spending ludirous amounts of money, which we don't have. And frankly who is going to want to sign for us, with our restricted wage structure and relegation favourites tag?

No, the team needs a makeover. We need to rediscover that formular of a couple of years ago of success built on superb team spirt and never say die attitude. That is not something that you can buy off the shelf.

It's a shame because the lack of qualiy in the Championship promotion contenders means that survival this year would almost certainly guarantee a fourth season in the Premier League, but, and it pains me to say it, I don't think we have the stomach for the fight.

With a heavy heart.
The 'rat.

Thing is, if we go down, what are our goals? To get promoted once more to the division we apparently aren't prepared to invest to stay in? Are we to become the very definition of a 'yo-yo club'? Just a little group of chancers from Berkshire with a shiny stadium?

We are a Watford but with a nicer stadium.

I only hope that now we've been seen to be a Premiership club it'll be easier to attract the better quality player in that league rather than miss out to what used to be deemed the bigger clubs (Wolves, Leicester...). Reading will appear to be one of those so called big clubs, I hope.
I'd be more than happy to be a yoyo club!
