Does this officially make Fae a worse signing than Halford yet?

Add this into the other stories of unrest that have been coming out ever since we came up (Marcus, Murty and a lot of the players moaning about contracts and bonus' etc) and it is a worry that all the good and hard work is being undone.

Definitely.

As for Sonko, having had one of the worst seasons i've seen from a Reading player, certainly in recent years then I find his attitude and contempt for the situation staggering.

Led astray by Fae if you ask me.

Considering how long it took Sonko to actually turn up for a Senegal squad whilst playing for Reading, let alone make an appearance, I'm a bit shocked to find him putting country before club.

How times change!

This is one of those symptoms, or causes, of the fatal second season syndrome. For Sonko read Reo-Coker or Harewood from West Ham last year.

Seems completely out of character for Sonko (what we think we know of him anyway).

Very strange and not a great indication of harmony within the club. Hopefully Coppell can use this to generate a stronger bond amongst the players who are prepared to fight (for the club that is).

The excuse of the chance of risking injury in a meaningless reserve game is pathetic.

Don't go training either because you're more likely to get injured there.

Second thoughts...........getting out of bed could be risky too.

Is there any way back for these two?

How can you have players here that won't play when you ask?

Fae I can slightly understand to an extent because he hasn't played much and probably is frustrated, even so it's better to have 90 for the ressies than not at all and keep his sharpness up for his country.

Again as for Sonko, all he did when he was with Senegal last time is what he should have been doing here all season, carrying the drinks.

Oh well. It's not like they're central to our team at the moment.

Coppell in not being able to man manage shocker.

I can understand Fae as he's been treated appallingly since he signed, but as for Sonko if he reads these boards, you wouldn't get a game in the bloody Senegal Paralympics team this season the way you've been playing you f*cking clown.

To be honest, I think a lot will change this summer.

I think the writing in on the wall for Coppell. Too much is going wrong and if he has lost the dressing room it will either take a massive, and expensive, clear out to get it back, or we'll see a change in manager.

If the manager changes I guess that they'll be given a clean slate, although the fans will probably have longer memories, especially so if we get relegated!

I think it is fairly safe to say that provided SC remains our manager we will never see either of these players ever playing for RFC again - and rightly so in my opinion.

After 5 or 6 years of the club constantly moving forward and almost zero bad press (apart from Lita's sexual appetite) it seems such a shame that the unity is breaking down - just when we need it the most with two games to go. I hope SC is really tough and has a big clear out in the summer of any players that have not shown commitment to the club.

I'm praying Coppell goes in the summer, it's the only way this club can go any further forward.

Royalee.
Absolute rubbish!

We should stay loyal as Charlton did with Curbishley.
Coppell wont walk as he has another year on his contract and he keeps to them.

He's the best man for the job.

Certainly looks as though the Sonko/Fae story is true.

Shame on the pair of them frankly but once again it doesn't necessarily follow that every other scurrilous rumour about bust ups between players and disharmony are all true. Obviously its now a cue for the usual suspects to bang on about Coppell's "lack of man management " skills as if everything he's acheived in football management has been by sheer fluke.

Its the timing that stinks for me though. Even if you're unhappy you knuckle down and support those around you when you're in our situation. Coppell himself has often said that the attitude of those that aren't in the team is as important as those that are. That said, senior players refusing to play reserve games isn't entirely unheard of and doesn't necessarily signal the loss of a dressing room.

The main worry for me is that for a club that has acheived incredible things based on an all round togetherness this is the last thing we need in what is a hugely pressurised situation.

im praying you go

these two players should hang their heads
at the time where we need to be pulling together they pull a stunt like this?
you can maybe understand it with fae-hes not performed to his price tag, but hes had few chances to i suppose
but sonks?! i feel stabbed in the back

coppell absolutely right to get these two as far away from the rest of the players as possible
if fae wouldnt represent a 2.5million+ loss id just let him go on a free

Stranded
Smoking Kills Dancing Doe Have said it about Sonks since he came back from injury. Money changes people and he is the proof.

Still these things do happen for a reason and Coppell has clearly lost a large section of the dressing room.

It doesn't though does it really....it shows that these two players are tw*ts and that's about it....

That's looking at it far too simply.

These things happen for a reason, this should never have got this far.

Refusing to play for the reserves in unforgivable, but we don't know enough to say it was just down to them being tits and in Fae case the way he has been treated by Coppell has been terrible. Signed, played totally out of position, dropped, never really seen from again even though we have by far the worse midfield in the league.

Mismanagement on Coppell's part at best.

Really shocked and disappointed about this - not least about Sonks. Wasn't it him who turned up unbidden at the MadStad to wave the rest of to South Korea? I always thought he was the embodiment of the team spirit about the club (and let's hope in these circumstances that he's not!). Really hope that this is some kind of misunderstanding...

Our midfield worse than Derby's ?

Fae was just breaking into the squad at Boro and contracted malaria. Not something you recover from overnight.

Equally Rosenior was bought, played out of position and left out for a (too) long period. Did he chuck the toys out of the pram? No he knuckled down as any decent pro would and eventually got his place back.

Frankly the actions of Sonko and Fae say more about them than Coppell.
