The booing of Shorey during today's game was completely out of order and did nothing at all to help the team. However, I can understand the frustration of those concerned. His standard of play today was an disgrace, England player? He's having a laugh!

What's more, for much of today's game he looked like he didn't give a toss.

Others have been frozen out of the team for far less so why is he allowed to get away with it? I just hope Kitson gives him a leaving present of a nice shiner. And if it is true that Kitson was dropped for telling Shorey what he thought of his lack of care then Coppell is a fool.

What a shame that it's looking increasingly unlikely that we will be in the PL next season to be able to tell Shorey exactly what we think of him when he turns out for whichever club he joined earlier this season!

"What's more, for much of today's game he looked like he didn't give a toss."

This is why the booing was richly deserved.

To those of your who booed Shorey today and probably voted Stephen Hunt and James Harper player of the season, a big part of me will be glad when we're relegated next weekend as you don't deserve to watch Premiership football - you're far too retarded to appreciate higher quality players when you see them.

His corner disturbion is awful.
It's the same every time.

His freekicks are awful.
He had one on the edge of the box and he had to cross it in.
Just shoot!

Did Shorey mark himself out as a 'higher quality player'?

I don't like agreeing with you on many things but it's hard to disagree here. Hunt and Harper 1st and 2nd, you fcuking idiots

Hahnemann was more deserving of winning, than coming third imho.

The one person who hasn't been utter dogshit this season and the sole reason we haven't already got a R next to our name we will collect next week, Marcus Hahnemann.

Whoever booed Shorey today are utterly clueless tossers.

They are not Reading fans, and hopefully will oxf*rd off back to Manure or Arse or whoever they "supported" before Reading got into the Premier League.

I can't afford a season ticket at the Emirates though.

Totally agree but it is time he moved on. Thanks Nicky, you have been a great player for us this season aside, good luck in the future and please turn the light off on your way out.

Shorey managed to ooze any amount of momentum from every attack with his atrocious crossing today. If this had been better then I'm sure we would've come away with at least a point.

So long Nicky, thanks for everything except this season.

Hunt does it in 38 games this season and he gets Player of the Year.

Reading fans = clueless.

I agree with you, and for what its worth I voted Hahnemann. However this is a Nicky Shorey thread so it only right that I give my view on him rather than any other player. You must agree AP that Shorey has been poor this season?
