To be honest other than a couple of old friends from West HAm we seem to have been ignored by the fans of other clubs for the last 2 seasons.

I still miss contributions from Miller Mac and NOLU (Millwall).

In 38 years following this club, nothing has come remotely close to the joy of winning the Championship. Now we get a shot at repeating it.

Success is always fun, at whatever level, this time next year we might be looking forward to the Prem again, and if we are we will all be here discussing how we need to do things different, and going back over previous mistakes.

It might be a hell of a lot of fun, much less plastic premier league bollox, less sponsors taking over the matchday experience. Better music on the tannoy, Beard Day, as already mentioned, we will still have inflatables day. Beach day at Blackpool, there will be loads of fun in winning.

Six years ago i was ecstatic about going in to the Championship!
And the bonus is 'London Football round up' on thursday nights. (thats providing your not one of the unfortunate few that has to make do with Meridian 'cat stuck up a tree' tv).

I could not agree with Arch more. That championship winning season was as good as it gets. We're never going to win anything in the prem, so the best you can hope for is (a) staying up and (b) causing a few shocks along the way (ie taking points off the big boys). Reading habitually don't stay put for long - promotion or relegation usually only takes a few years, so let's hope it's promotion next time.
