It's not Reading related, but I remember watching on MOTD a Southampton home game at the Dell where Mark Hughes belted the ball into the net only for the net to bulge back allowing the ball to rebound off an advertising hoarding and out of the goal, the ref didn't spot this and none of the players protested...... I guess you couldn't accuse them of ball watching.
