he deserves a good reception. Conducted himself extremely well whilst at the club and took an opportunity no one with half a brain could fault him for.

He was a very important player for us.

Erm...he's been back already - easy to forget, he was completely anonymous for Chelsea in the first half of the first home game of last season. "Sidwell, what's the score?" and all that. Must admit we got to the match late, so I'm not sure what the initial reception was like, but from what I recall he was treated to good natured ribbing every time our boys (usually Cisse, I think) got the better of him during the match.

I'll be there, got a mate whos a Villa fan coming down so I thought id head along too....

Will applaud him, he doesnt deserve booing, IMO he did nothing wrong by playing his heart out every week then leaving when his contract was up, its not like he demanded a move or anything so I dont see that he did anything wrong

Never stopped putting his heart into the side even when he knew he was going to leave, and probably going somewhere where he will be selected more often and we will see just how good he is, good on him I say.
Do we get any percentage of the sell on fee ??

No, we didn't sell him to Chelsea so there is no link between us and him contractually. He left on a Bosman. (That just doesn't sound like good English - but it will have to do).

Good bit of business for Chelsea, pay him £1,000,000 to warm the bench for a year and then get £5,000,000 from Villa

I'm proud that i didn't get the normal newbie response!!! My main annoyance is that he didn't sign a new contract and therefore fleased us of a few million at least. But i will remember that he has a child and girl friend to look after who obviously couldn't live on 20 grand a week.....

Also why is this in the team section???? :)

Y25 If their heart isn't at Reading they can oxf*rd off

That's pretty unrealistic viewpoint in my opinion.

When has your heart ever been at the company you've worked for? You move on depending on the way your career is going or the lifestyle you want to lead. Take Little for example, great player, moved on for one last time and another opportunity. Why should he stay, he he wants to go and try something new before he retires or whatever then let him.

Why should little stay cos we paid him to sit on his arse and play no football and got him fit! Thats why. I can see why he's moved on but i'm still dissapointed and the club should have offered him a new contract as soon as it looked like he was getting back to fitness.

LOLz

Little and Sidwell saw their deals out and got offers from better clubs. LOLoyaLOLty, there is none, apart from the fans. Yes we bitch and moan about absolutely everything, it's what we do. 'Our fitness coach is crap' 'tickets are too expensive' 'food is shite' 'kit looks awful' 'our team is weak' 'manager is clueless' 'chairman is tight' 'DOF talks like a constipated rat' But we'll still be there come matchday. 8)

So? Maybe he wanted a shit load of money - and? I would to.

If I worked for a company (another big heartless organisation) and was getting paid £15'000, and after 2 years of working hard, a much much better job came along offering £30'000 I wouldn't turn it down.

Idiotic point of view.
