Mentioned on thread on Team page - put NH in the EP today states that to date we have received no bids at all for Hunt to date.

We've had some tentative enquiries but that's it - EP suggests we have Jay Tabb lined up as a replacement.

Would be a very good signing at that IMHO. Would offer cover at LM, CM and RM.

lazy journalism. we've been linked with jay tabb every season since the hundred years war. he's not a bad player, but he's certainly no better than what we've got, and he's a central midfielder. and we have cissé harper karacan gunnar matejovsky and bikey at a push. would never get into our side on either wing since he's not exactly the quickest out there. so...

They might be talking about them, but Brum seem to be relying on loans, Cardiff have replaced Routledge with a free from broke Rangers, Burnley have signed no-one, Sheff U have spent what? half a million, and I don't think Wolves have signed anyone yet.

You don't think that might be because 90 per cent of the january transfer window activity is in the last two weeks of the month do you?

Tabb is in the last year of his contract at Coventry and is not expected to sign a new deal. He is a Londoner and wants to move back south. Hence the fee being reasonably modest.

Probably just his agent trying to stoke up interest.

He is of course Irish.....

I've heard from a reliable source that Tab has a wash every day of the week and a bath on Sundays. These scurrilous rumours about his personal hygene should cease at one.

My general rule with Coppell signings is the less I'm excited about them, the better they do....

Still part of me can't see a Prem club paying £5m for Hunt, but stranger things have happened.

I assumed he meant the likes of Wigan and Fulham.

I reckon we'll step up our interest in Tabb, now the deal for HH seems dead in the water.

Exciting isn't it.

That's right, if you don't get your first choice for a certain position in the squad you need to move on to your second choice.......
