thanks for the report all the twats like strap writing us off, if we continue at home and continue to show this kind of improvement away. We will be on the mix end of the season

Improvement? Jesus Christ.

We were playing a crap team with plenty of injuries, their goalie went off in the first minute to be replaced by a very shaky sub, we were literally given a goal and still we can't win away. Indeed we were hanging on for a point in the end.

6-0 is all well and good but that's 4 points from the last three games. Far from promotion form.

Still waiting for your PM regarding the bet on whether we'll make the play offs, guess that'll be a long wait.

Ahhh, bless, another blinkered RTG where blind faith ALWAYS over-rules start reality. Never mind, "hope springs eternal" as the saying goes. Used to be much like you, but then 40 years of following RFC has finally driven it out of me.

Whilst I didn't go today, I understand Kebe was up to his usual (cr@p) standard. When we start a game with 11 footballers on our side, we might start to show some form and intent, but on the basis of Palace (where we were very lucky), and Ipswich, (where we got slaughtered), games, we will not finish in the top 6 this year. Ha, at least I won't be disappointed this season.

Arguably our best player

Infuriated and frsutrated Royal here!! Likely to be much more frustrated when reading the write ups that will say how unfair it was on Watford whilst oversighting all the poor decisions given against Reading this afternoon!!! I can only sympathise with the Watford fans, yet on the other side feel that they owe a lot to the referee this afternoon. Bikey's goal should've stood, or Watford's first shouldnt have stood, as almost identical fouls featured in both of them.

How that little shit Atwell is refereeing in the Premiership is beyond me!! Having seen him in the Forest match as well, he is well on the way to taking the baton from Poll as my most hated referee!! I'm glad that the referee's assessor was there today, and I sincerely hope that he and his assistants get suspended because that was embarassing!!

In regards to the match I definately feel its two points dropped. With close rivals losing, it would have been and ideal time to play catch up. Unfortunately, the defence switched off twice, and we were punished cruely in a match we dominated. Noel Hunt going off was a blow, I'm assuming he's injured. Kebe looked better than his previous away performances, yet is still off the standard of the home ones. Karacan played very well and Harper was absent again.

Overall, I'm dissapointed but fell that today was definately an improvement and something to build on. No13 was superb today too, well done!!

according to odds checker we are 2/1 to get promoted, that could be from any situation mind, not sure if evens to be top 6 is better or not, seems a fair offer though.

We were on the side close to the home end, from where we were it looked like a decent penalty shout from Armstrong deep into injury time, any thoughts as the rest of you were closer? I can confirm that for the first goal, the ball went nowhere near the goaline at any stage.

The officials capped an all round feeble effort with that 5 minute debate after Bikey was booked, what was all that about?

looks to me like you offered top 6 finish at evens, sounds a better bet than 2/1 to go up IMHO

Just because someone doesn't share your level of optimism doesn't make them a twat. On the other hand resorting to such insults does tend to make the author one!

Now add a touch of realism to today's result. A two-all draw, courtesy of an iffy (clearly wrong in truth) decision and a penalty against a team already really struggling with injuries who then has to substitute their first choice keeper early on in the game.

Royal Lady Strap - Kebe wasn't crap. Far from it. He's just a bit rough around the edges.

Thanks for your update. I know how he feels!

However, based on what little commentaries filtered through to my PC today, he was cr@p. Three "good" runs I believe, with NO end product. Quite how a run can be considered "good" if nothing comes of it is quite beyond me. How many crosses did he put over? How many times did he get to the bye-line? How many tackles did he make? Against Ipswich he was a complete joke of a "player". Utter waste of space. Presumably his miss of an open goal in the first 10 minutes so dented his confidence, he quite forgot there were another 80 mins to play?!? I won't bother to mention passes to him bouncing off his heals, his leisurely jogs around the half-way line when there were often 2 or 3 ipswich players careering into empty space he should have been patrolling. At least the ImpOSTER gave the impression of knowing what he should be doing, despite not having the abilty to do it. Kebe is simply a clown.

If that is the generally accepted RTG definition of a good player, we are in serious trouble. Even more so if it what the RFC staff define as a good player! There is a very good reason he was playing bit part football for Bologne in the French 2nd division last year. And yet he was bought to help save our Premiership status? Oh please!

Actually, I'm being unfair on Kebe. It's not his fault he's out of his depth. It's the weird "parallel universe" our transfer "policy" resides in that really riles me. He is just the physical manifestation of this "policy", so perhaps I should give it a rest? On second thoughts, perhaps not! Someone has to point out the elephant in the room!!

Kebe was pretty good I though. His end product wasn't great mind, but a few mazy runs and he beat his man a good few times.

I was sat in the Watford end behind the goal after getting some comp tickets and the ball went no where near the line. A very strange decision and if it had been the other way around I'd have been livid. A very bizarre game thanks to the ref and his mates. I thought the Reading fans down the far end were very quiet for most of the game too.

Dissapointed we haven't won the game, on 1st half performance/chances created we should have won as were dominant. Allowed Watford back in with an easy equaliser just after N.Hunt was subbed and how we managed to get down to 2-1 I don't no. For Watford, stupid penalty to give away as I thought the ball was slightly too long for Long to chase but we scored in resultant penalty, and I suppose I've been entertained at a Watford Vs Reading clash.

We'll be alright for the Playoffs, this league quality wise isn't what it use to be and provided we finish teams then we'll have enough points, maybe automatic. Nonetheless, a good week with a decent return and plenty to look forward too.

It was entertaining but annoying sort of game, at 1-0 we looked good & watford didn't really threaten.

I did enjoy it when i think hunt took a corner before the ref & watford were ready and it hit an unaware watford player in the nutz, cant wait for a 3rd eye view on it.

I would like to see a dvd of the whole game as the ref & linesman were very poor.

You should go back a bit RB, not that many years ago Strap posted this,

Sadly doing things on the cheap is likely to mean we won't stay where we are.

Sadly even then he thought we would go down, or was it reverse physiology?
