Very good! I personally think we should have the old Nigel Jemson chant at Forset.....it's easy....

"Jemmo, Jemmo, Jemmo....."

I'm not taking credit for this. It's the two lads at the back of Y25 who were trying to get it going.

That would be T.R.O.L.I and Compos Hat

Royal Lady Ah. I've just posted about a Kebe song on another thread.

Jimmy Kebe Kebe - for Johnny Reggae Reggae. 8)

not exactly a new suggestion, but a decent one.

What record have HobNobbers got of taking an idea for a song onto the terraces?
I don't think there is one example is there? A lot of us live too far away from Reading to get to matches regularly.

To get a song adopted

1. get together with a few loud mates
2. rehearse it well
3. then go to a match
4. and belt it out at the top of your voices while the mood of the rest of the crowd is good.

Then you'll stand a chance.

Good luck we could use some creativity because some of our songs are borrowed and a bit jaded in all honesty.

I think it's a great idea. It scans well.
But you got to get down to the stadium and belt it out.
A capella like the Brighton bloke from The Housemartins.

All for an Ian Dury song myself, though I think Plaistow Patricia should be avoided.

I thought it up at the stadium and spent the best part of five minutes (until my voice started to go) "belting it out" - not going to Preston but will be giving it another go at both the Donny and QPC home games and the Brizzol City away game.

The Doors - Spanish Caravan

Carry me, caravan, take me away.
Take me to Portugal, take me to Spain,
Andalusía with fields full of grain
I have to see you again and again.

Take me, Spanish Caravan,
Yes, I know you can.

Trade winds find galleons lost in the sea
I know where treasure is waiting for me.
Silver and gold in the mountains of Spain
I have to see you again and again.

Take me, Spanish caravan,
Yes, I know you can.
