winchester_royal Some people forget that in this league, anyone can win on their day, the soton game proved that.
6 points is not an unassailable lead by any stretch of the imagination, nor is 13 for that matter.

Dirk Gentlysheshnu Obviously plenty of games to be won and lost between now and May, but right now it looks like the current top three will go up, be it automatically or via the playoffs. That could all change in January, but nobody else in the division looks capable of competing.
If only it were that simple. History proves that the team which comes third in a 3-horse race hardly ever goes up via the play-offs.

Sarah Star Stating the obvious I know, but I hate knowing that we're reliant on them to slip up more than once and us to keep winning.

andrew1957 At the end of August Reading were 3 points behind Brum
At the end of September we were still 3 points behind
At the end of October we were 6 points behind and we are still 6 points behind.
This is hardly insurmountable - it just takes 2 wins for us and 2 losses for them.

Percy's Rocketmg1976royal Yes if Kevin Phillips gets injured"
Back to part of my original point..Phillips will not be able to keep that up all season in this league..
That will help us but at the end of the day we have to achive something like the consistency of
2005..not as completely superb as that but picking up points all the way along the line..wins..not draws..
and not having a lousy run...one of them (and I predict Brum) will have a bad trot and we pounce.

What we need is some consistency where we win 6 games or so in a row.

Maguire If we keep the squad together, I think we could catch both Birmingham and Wolves in the long term.
Don't know why you're all being so pessimistic - neither of those teams is any better than us and we've already rinsed Wolves away.
6 points, 10 points, 12 points, whatever - it's not decisive so early in the season.

There are six points from Brum and three from Wolves still available.
