Very frustrating. I dont think many people agree it was a red.

Still should of appealed.

I can just imagine it.

We would have gone in to the hearing and offered no evidence to support the appeal, except we could have said "everyone in the press box thought it was harsh".

The FA - "That's a 6 match ban then for wasting our time".

Laughable isn't it, Bikey does next to nothing wrong, 3 match ban for violent conduct

Morgan nearly kills someone with a shocking elbow that is clear as day, booking, no ban.

And the officials and people that run this game want respect? They can all FCUK OFF in all honesty.

Last year, 9 PL red cards were appealed. One was extended, one was overturned.

Seeing as John Terry got off on a technicality, can't Bikey get off on the same one? He blatantly didn't punch him.

Surely there is other footage the club can get hold of in order to appeal.

I wonder if Bikey now sympathises with Roy Keane.

If he is going to get punished for punching the guy he probably wishes he'd got his money's worth and actually decked him.

I reckon Chopra would have missed more than 3 games if Bikey had caught him with a good one.

I don't know if i'm thinking too much into this. but the fact we are not appealing could be a decision by the management to rotate the squad a bit. Doobs pushing up to the bench, Gunnarsson getting a run and Matejovski getting more of a chance of coming on for Harper at some point in the game. or even Pearce coming back and getting a run in the team.

I would like Cisse and Ingi in the back. Bring Gunnarson and Marek in as a midfield combo with Harper coming off the bench.

Good decision not to appeal - it means SC can give Bikey the opportunity to re-focus on his attitude to the game without having to drop him.

Bill Oddie's Beard Surely if the video doesn't show him punching Chopra that's evidence enough?!

Unfortunately it is "guilty until proven innocent" and not the other way round.

If Chopra was to testify that he wasn't punched in the fact that would be evidence enough.

I presume he does not wish to do this, perhaps on account of the fact he felt he was punched.

He wouldn't necessarily know what happened. It's quite likely all he knows is one minute he was going for the ball the next he was lying on the floor in some pain.

Shrewsbury had a player sent off for a flaying arm being an elbow in the face, Saturday at Lincoln. One of their own players took an elbow in the face that resulted in a double fracture of the jaw and the Lincoln player wasn't booked. Just to add insult to injury, in the true sense of the word, the Lincoln doctor was called to examine the Shrewsbury player at half-time and pronounced him fit to continue to play as there was no damage....

Mine, too.

This is precisley why referee's don't get the respect they think is theirs by devine right.

Was their anything to stop this official, in the light of nearly all objective opinion of those present that he got this decision wrong, taking a look at what video evidence exists before a player is banned for 3 matches for something he may not have done? I bet he's made no public comment since last night.

Last nights match has gone but Bikey could be playing in our next game if officials were more interested in righting wrongs than saving face.......................the sort of approach that might earn the respect they crave.

I guess the fact that no useful video evidence exists would be the main problem.

What would be the point of the ref (who obviously believes he saw something) looking at video footage that even RFC agree doesn't shed any real light on what happened ?
